We’ve featured this single a few months ago and heard greatness from what some may call a unique pairing but recently, Recording Artist Allan Kingdom took the trip to Jamaica, called up Chronixx and brought to us “Fables“. Directed by Martin C. Pariseau and starring Damanhi Mcghuie and Oprah Forknot, the Artists share their stories on breaking stereotypes, refuting things that they’ve heard about growing up to be fables, and standing out while connecting with nature. These lyrics blend in with the visual as we see a young man taking the trek to discover his own truth by leaving his home and finding a woman who lives by a river. Titled “Dirty Couch” and produced by Mordecai Beats, Steez slows it down and makes cookie cutter Rappers who are a liability to the culture know it’s time to pack it up or feel his wrath. Aiming to bring back the essence to the music, Five Steez is tired of those who dilute it and has enough artillery for when they step to him. Featuring beautiful women, an old school ride, and some very clean shots/scenes, Tory’s Dancehall-tinged single is now more infectious than his previous hit, “Say It“. With the population in Canada being a melting pot of many cultures and nationalities, it’s no surprise when established and up and coming acts add the Caribbean Influence to their music.
