As Heroes’ Day comes to a close, remember that today is a gift, that’s why it’s called the “Present“. With that said, Koro Fyah is here with a new song to let listeners know it’s a “New Day“. Produced by Kabaka Pyramid, Koro gives thanks to the almighty for another day of life and encourages others to do the same. He also urges listeners to make the most out of the new day despite the circumstances and keep Jah close. Great effort here from the Bebble Rock member. Mixtape Movements: @ZealousPikin Presents: The Lion Boy EP

Bringing a dose of Reggae music straight from Johannesburg, South Africa is Singer, One Zeal with his new EP. Titled “The Lion Boy EP“, One Zeal compiled 8 tracks about love, serving Jah, and bringing social awareness to where he’s from. After listening this EP, one would know that the power of Reggae inspires and brings out the best in anyone, no matter the location. I like that he used Damian Marley’s “Welcome To JamRock” instrumental and my top tracks so far are “Beware of August“, “Ms. Confidence” and “Holy Is“. Great selection for those who want to check out Reggae music in another country and I’m looking forward to more from this artist. OLDIES SUNDAY: @TheRealJahCure x @SizzlaKalonji – King In This Jungle (1998)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selections come from two Lions of Reggae Music, Sizzla Kalonji and Jah Cure. Titled “King In This Jungle“, this was produced by Beres Hammond for his Harmony House Productions in 1998. In this song we hear the two artists speak out on those who wish to oppress people but stumble with the help of Jah. They also consider themselves Kings in a society that’s like a Jungle and encourage people to follow Jah and have more faith in the teachings.

NEW MUSIC: @IamTheKartel – Servant

Fresh off the heels of Gaza Slim releasing a Gospel song, TJ Records has released one from none other than Vybz Kartel. Titled “Servant“, we hear Kartel with the help from singers speak about wanting to more than an ordinary servant, giving thanks for all that has happened so far, being David while poverty is Goliath, quoting scriptures, and showing love for Jah. Interesting single from Mr. Palmer and the chrous was borrowed from the Regina Wingate single. Get ready for a ton more unreleased songs but will there be more Gospel tinged ones? NEW MUSIC: @IAmChronixx x @KabakaPyramid – Mi Alright

Today’s new music comes from Reggae artists Chronixx and Kabaka Pyramid. Titled “Mi Alright” and produced by Chimney Records on the “Rising Sun Riddim“, we hear them talking about having no worries, giving thanks and praise to Jah, and just enjoying life. Very positive song from the artists, Chronixx’s chorus really blended well with Kabaka’s lyrics. Sounds like a hit and I’d love to hear more collabs from these two. Titled “Jah Is Good” and directed by Nisha Rebel, we see Alaine playing the role of a school teacher and spreading love and joy all around and showing that Jah is good.
