“The Release” is an Entertainment Program featured on Hype TV every Tuesday at 8:30 PM, with repeats on Thursday and Saturday at 6:30 PM. Hosted by Talisa Taylor, the program features some of the newest entertainment releases and upcoming events. Directed by 13th Tribe Productions and featuring a cameo by Yung JR, D-Medz spreads his “Power To The People” message, gathers his troops, and marches out against corruption. In a society where corruption, racism and a lack of morals are increasing, it’s up to artists like D-Medz to spread the positive message and enforce what is right from what is wrong. Being an offspring of one of Jamaica’s greatest Entertainers, the late Alton Ellis, Christopher Ellis aims to make a mark in music not only in Jamaica, but worldwide. Here on Onstage the UK based Singer spoke on being in Jamaica to record, experiencing the Island, touring with his father, working with Stephen Marley, being his own artist, his new single with Bay-C (formerly of T.O.K.), putting out more music. There are times in musical groups where a member or few would want to embark on a solo career. Recently Kevyn of Voicemail did just that and spoke on it on Onstage. Here he explained how the solo career came about, ensuring that Voicemail is here to stay as they prep an EP, his new single and video for “High Life“, and working on an solo EP “Back For The First Time“. Good to see that a member can take on a solo career without fans worrying that the group is breaking up. Kevyn aims to drop his EP in 2016, stay tuned.
