NEW VIDEO: @ItsJahmiel – Real Father

JahmielToday’s new video is Reggae artist Jahmiel’s dedication to all the real fathers out there. Titled “Real Father” and directed by Kalila Anderson and Ricardo Williams, Jahmiel sings about the times his father has been there for him and showing respect to all the fathers out there who doing the same for their kids. This video also features cameo appearances from Producer Notnice, Keznamdi, Bugle, Rum Blood of Ward 21, DJ Razz, Richie Feelings, Gyptian, Vybrant, and Clive Hunt. This is a really great song as not many artists dedicate songs for the fathers. Great effort on the video as we see scenes of fathers being around their children and even photos of a younger Jahmiel. A great early Father’s Day tribute. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Courtney John – I Go Crazy (2000)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from Reggae artist formerly known as “Yogie“, Courtney John. Titled “I Go Crazy“, this was a Reggae remake of the 1977 Paul Davis song of the same name. “I Go Crazy” was featured on John’s debut album “Miracles” which was released in 2000. The song spoke about John meeting an old lover who he thought he has fully gotten over, only to end up recapturing feelings for her again. Produced by the artist himself, this delivered a beautiful production and recruited great back up singers. Although his first attempt in the entertainment industry started in 1993, “I Go Crazy” was Courtney John’s breakout single with a great music video to match.

Reggae artist Jahmiel is on a mission and today he delivers an EP to show us his progress. Titled “Mission“, this is a six track compilation of some of the artist’s latest work. Featuring production from Notnice Records, Lee Milla Productions, Rokus Records, and Black Spyda Records, Jahmiel shows how broad his range is in subject matter and production. Jahmiel is an artist I have been following for quite some time and I believe he deserves to be on a huge platform and carrying the flag like many acts here. Check out the EP below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
