Dancehall Artists Blakkman and Raine Seville team up for “Ghetto Paradise“. Produced by Island Jams, Blakkman gives us his observations in the ghetto, and highlights that “every ghetto yute is a star” while Raine delivers the chorus stating that it’s “Ghetto yutes’ time” and they should keep their heads held high as they will see the glory they dream about. Today we introduce to the Blog a Producer by the name of Wize. This UK based Producer has been making a name for his rather unique beats/remixes and today I feature one titled “Jealous“. Here he flips Bollywood and Alicia Keys samples over his own set of drum kits that he also sells. While hearing this beat, I pictured a short film going along with this. Expect more from this talented brother but for now, check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Spring is in the air, and with a new season comes a new mixtape from 1NE Don Sound founder DJ Supadon. Titled “Panda 6ixteen“, Supa provides almost 30 minutes of some of the latest Hip Hop, Pop, Dancehall, and EDM mixes and remixes. Something for the Gym session, the lunch break, the morning pick me, or just when you want something to bounce to, Supadon is a DJ you need. First they started out as the youth of the Dancehall/Reggae culture, now they’re parents with growing kids. It isn’t unusual for the child of an Entertainer to follow in their parent’s footsteps one way or the other as at times they bring a modern take on their parent’s creations, or create their own lane. Some of the most famous off springs include Stephen, Ziggy, and Damian “Junior Gong” Marley (Sons of Bob Marley), Chino and Di Genius (Sons of Freddie McGregor), Junior Tucker (Son of Jimmy Tucker), Morgan Heritage (Children of Denroy Morgan), Tarrus Riley (Son of Jimmy Riley), Queen Ifrica (Daughter of Derrick Morgan), Protoje (Son of Lorna Bennett), Chronixx (Son of Chronicle) and many more. In part 5 of a few part series, I feature more of the new set of kids on the scene whose parents have covered much ground in their respective careers.

Today I present to you a classic from the “Lyrical Gangsta” iNi Kamoze a.k.a the originator of the “Woiyoi“, with a modern twist from a mad Scientist named Yared Lee a.k.a Boomdraw. Remixing iNi’s 1995 “Listen Me Tic“, Boomdraw experimented with new samples and scratches over a dark Production. If you’re a fan of the original then you’ll love this and If iNi was looking to reissue his “Lyrical Gangsta” album, he should consider throwing this remix in there along with the Soso Def remix with Da Brat. Stay tuned for more from Boomdraw as well as he aims to hold your ears hostage every time he drops new production. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
For many Drake fans, the “Views From The 6” album can’t come any sooner. For Popcaan fans, they say “Finally!” in unison as the two Artists join forces for “Controlla“. A song for the ladies, Drake brings the R&B smoothness while Popskull brings the Island Dancehall Flavour over a Dancehall tinged Production. Will this be on “Views From The 6“? We’re not sure but check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
