Titled “Love It” and produced by Class One Music, Toian continues where she left off with “Rude Boys” and picks up the pace here. She shows love to the Marverley Rude Boys and says she wants to be “More than your likkle browning“. Loving this track as it gives off a retro vibe and with the previous efforts getting good reception, “Retrospect” will definitely be in heavy rotation when it drops on March 17. NEW MUSIC: @DavianahMusic – Music Madness

Davianah

Aiming to break out of the monotony today is singer Davianah with her latest single. Titled “Music Madness” and produced by Mark “Genaral” Thompson for Thompson House Music, Davianah gets at artists who fail to bring more positive subject matter to their audience and break out of the continuous stream of sexually charged lyrics being played on the airwaves. She also warns that the youths are listening to them and they are not setting a great example for them to follow. Davianah delivers on this one as this is a song you should keenly listen to. While it is true many of us listen and enjoy the sexually charged lyrics, at times we must make room for more positive lyrics and guide the youth along the way. Don’t turn the music to madness. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Errol Dunkley "Black Cinderella" for 13thStreetPromotions.com

OLDIES SUNDAY: Errol Dunkley – Black Cinderella (1972)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from Reggae Musician, Errol Dunkley. Titled “Black Cinderella“, this was produced by Jimmy Rodway for Fe Me Time Records in 1972. Errol considered it a tribute to hard working black women, but it sounded more like a love song than the aforementioned idea. The creation for this came about when Jimmy introduced Errol to one of his poems of the same name. After some adjustments, Errol recorded the single and it immediately became a hit in a time of Black Empowerment.
