Jamaican Music Icon Sizzla Kalonji continues to show the world that he’s not wasting the gifts that he was blessed with. With a work ethic that’s still impressive, best believe Sizzla’s working on new projects to release later this year. In the meantime we get singles, including this new collaboration called, “Consistent“.

Produced by SpaceAgeRasta for Artekal Music, “Consistent” is a collaboration between Sizzla and US-based Rapper/Culinary Chef Cheflodeezy. Together they deliver motivational lyrics, and blend their sounds and influences for an enjoyable track. While Cheflodeezy steps out with a different energy, Sizzla gives us that classic falsetto throughout. Accompanying the new collab, is a music video directed by Steven Bernard. They share their hardships, but are grateful for the many blessings that have been bestowed their way. What are you grateful for today?

Dancehall Artist Kraff has been enjoying a favourable amount of buzz these past few months. His hard work has been paying off in the form of big numbers on Youtube and streaming platforms, and being included in various events including the recently held Sting 2022. With a different kind of focus for 2023, he’s making big steps on “Giant“.

Directed by Ruption, Kraff Gad reflects on his achievements on “Giant”, and steps forward with the determination that he’ll be bigger than ever. “Giant” was produced by Tepa Music and Droptop Records. Kraff solidified himself as one of the emerging Artists from last year, and with the new crop of young Artists, will make even more noise this year and beyond. “Trap/Chop Dancehall” has been under much scrutiny over the years, but some of the representatives have managed to take their career to bigger venues, and are finding more ways to be a difference on the scene. Expect to hear more from Kraff this year, watch him make hits out of thin air!

For quite some time, fans have been anticipating a collaborative project from Dancehall Artists Aidonia and Govana. Despite releasing a few singles, no album has shown up in the past couple years. While life has had some turns for the Artists, it looks like things are looking to pick up for them. Getting back to business, they release the visual for “Earthquake“!

Directed by Shane Creative and Ruption, Aidonia and Govana are here for the ladies on the Chimney Records-produced “Earthquake”. While they previously displayed how potent their lyricism can be, they use this time to get the ladies moving. For all the ladies who missed shaking it to a Didi and Govi song, “Earthquake” is for you to have fun to. We hope Aidonia and Govana’s project sees the light of day this year, but if not, we expect to hear a lot more from them. Ladies, it’s your time to show off!

Yaawdi Releases Visual For “Pray”!

Recording Artist Yaawdi is on a mission to bring nothing but great music to the world. Originally from Martinique, he has been making his name in Jamaica and various parts of the world thanks to his affiliations with Sizzla Kalonji and Judgment Yard. Staying true to his mission, he released the visual for the track, “Pray“.

For those unfamiliar with Yaawdi’s delivery, he performs “Pray” mostly in French. Despite the language barrier for some, Yaawdi gives the people a positive message, and we should stay true to our beliefs in order to make the right choices moving forward. The video was mostly shot in Martinique, and we get a glimpse of the Island that Yaawdi calls home. Life is filled with many challenges, but with strong faith and prayer, it gets easier. Eddie Zuko Promotes Love With Alton Ellis-Sampled, “Still”!

Reggae Music has taken quite the journey since its inception. With the mouths of many singing their favourite songs from some of the most creative forces behind them, the genre has shown its staying power over and over, and has influenced so much. In the US, Reggae has had a hand in the establishment of many bands. From Sublime, to Rebelution, to SOJA, to Big Mountain, the music took on a different life outside of Jamaica, bringing in a new audience. For California Artist Eddie Zuko, he taps into a Rocksteady classic for his single called, “Still“.

Produced by J.LBS and Paul Redona, Eddie Zuko’s “Still” samples the late Alton Ellis classic, “I’m Still In Love“. “I’m Still In Love” was produced by Sir Coxsone Dodd, and released through Studio One in 1967. Eddie Suko borrowed part of the chorus, and some of the production behind the original for “Still”, which finds the Artist professing his continuous love for the special person in his life. Many relationships have gone by the wayside or have faced roadblocks, but the love for one another is still embedded in each partner’s core. There will be doubts, there will be fights, but as they say, “Love conquers all“.

Eddie Zuko’s “Still” has been enjoying some viral love in the past few weeks namely on TikTok, with many requesting for the song to be officially available. Accompanying the single, is a music video directed by Brok Wood, and it finds Eddie performing the track with Musicians Paul & Csmo. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, why not dedicate this one to someone special?

Be careful in the streets, especially with your valuables as Thieves won’t think twice about owning it in not a pleasant way. For Comedian Mad Capo, he had to learn the hard way in Kyng Tavii’s latest skit!

In the video, Mad Capo is seen chatting away on the phone in the park. While he’s having a good time spending off Flow or Digicel credit, Kyng Tavii shows up armed and ready to relieve Capo of his belongings. The robbery was not fruitful however as Capo didn’t have anything of value on him. Distraught by that, Tavii used the opportunity to change Capo’s life.
