Fee Fi Foe, Yaksta Releases “The Return” Ahead Of New Album

Recording Artist Yaksta has been very busy these past few weeks. From Media appearances to music releases, he’s building on his rollout for his new album, “The Microphone Saved Me“. With “Roar” connecting with more people, it’s only right he delivers more music to build more anticipation. He follows up with the new single, “The Return“.

Produced by Track Starr, Yaksta makes bold steps on “The Return”. He doesn’t bite his tongue here, and he’s calling out the colonizers, the deceivers, the snakes, and the oppressors. He has seen too much corruption happening, and he’s letting the fire blaze, and the chants ring out, and his sword slice through the screens. The energy he brought in “Roar”, is amplified on “The Return”, and will be greater on “The Microphone Saved Me”. Yakst continues to showcase his diversity, emphasizes that he lives his life with a certain order, and encourages us to seek out the right in this crazy world. Keep the fire burning, and “NPT” the “Bush Lawd“.

Valiant Makes The Women Say “Woii” On The “Hill & Gully Riddim”

The “Hill & Gully” agenda continues. Di Genius struck gold when he made this Riddim, and we are tapping into not only Dancehall culture, but even more of our Jamaican culture and heritage. The Producer unleashed his Riddim for more Artists to get busy with, but today, Valiant is next up to bat. Yesterday Elephant Man dropped “Hold Him Gyal“, now Valiant drops “Woii“.

Directed by Zise x Top Shootah, Valiant brings the Women down to Emmanuel Road in the video for, “Woii”. As previously mentioned, Vali shares inspiration from the Folk Song “Dung A Emmanuel Road“, and the video brings us to the Market, with a healthy sprinkling of Jonkunnu and Kumina throughout. The “Hill & Gully Riddim” has been a part of the conversation since the preview, and we look forward to what’s next (Maybe Ayetian?). Galang gyal!

Jada Kingdom Channels Damian Marley For “Still Searching” Video

A few weeks ago, Dancehall Artist Jada Kingdom released her latest project, “Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World“, and her people are loving it. The collaboration with Di Genius makes way for even more releases, but Jada is focusing on pushing the project to more bases. One of the project’s popular tracks, “Still Searching“, gets the music video treatment.

Directed by Rizzy for Now Or Never, Jada Kingdom channels Damian “Junior Gong” Marley in the video for “Still Searching”. Having sampled the original Yami Bolo-featured 2001 classic, Jada takes it a step further by recreating the original music video as a part of paying tribute. Junior Gong’s original was featured on his 2001 GRAMMY-winning album, “Halfway Tree“. Jada’s video makes for one of the stand out visuals this year, and we look forward to even more content in support of “Just A Girl”.

They say “A friend in need, is a friend indeed“, and it holds true to this day. Sometimes you’re in a rough situation, and a friend steps in to have your back. For Dancehall Artist Top Banks, he has a special friend or few who show up when needs them the most. That special friend he calls, “Gas Pan“.

Produced by Steel Chest and Ytmutli, Top Banks shares his love for that special friend in, “Gas Pan”. The name is for that Woman who knows how to get things done in the best way possible, and she can be your friend too! The love he has for her is like no other, and she shows up at the right time, any time. “Gas Pan” was previewed on Social Media over the past few weeks, and has been gaining traction ever since, with fans anticipating the official release. Top Banks has been staying busy outside the Studio, showing up at a number of events. He is currently taking bookings in Canada for Summer 2026, and is building up his stage performance skillset in the meantime. Play this one for your special friend.

Elephant Man Brings The Energy To “Hill & Gully” With “Hold Him Gyal”

Over the weekend, the legendary Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor premiered the first installment in his new “Hill & Gully Riddim” called, “Slip & Slide” by Masicka. The Riddim taps into Jamaica’s Folk Music and Mento culture, paying homage, while making something new at the same time. While we knew “Slip & Slide” was going to do some damage, we anticipated for Dancehall Icon Elephant Man, who hinted that he was working with Di Genius. Today, we get the premiere of, “Hold Him Gyal“.

Directed by King Simeon Di Great, Elephant Man takes it to the farmland in the video for, “Hold Him Gyal”. From Donkey riding, to overalls, to tending to the crops, we’re taken back to simpler times, but with that modern vibes, and the Women putting on their best moves, all powered by the “Energy God” and Di Genius. “Hold Him Gyal” shares inspiration from the popular Folk Song, “Hold Him Joe“, and it is fitting with the concept of the Riddim. We even got some duppy, Jonkunnu, and our traditional Plaid in the mix! The “Hill & Gully Riddim” is growing in presence, and with Valiant and Ayetian onboard, this compilation is gonna be another one for the books, and promote more of our rich culture. Dennis Brown’s “Revolution” Featured In New “Apex” Film

Over the weekend, streaming giant Netflix released the much-anticipated Film, “Apex“. Starring Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton, the Film revolves around a Woman who goes on rock climbing excursions in Australia, becoming the target of a Hunter. The survival Thriller quickly found fans, and rang up the numbers over the weekend. The Film features a soundtrack that blends well with some of the action scenes, but for the not-so-action parts, a familiar sound from Jamaica made an appearance.

During a small scene of the new Film, “Apex”, Reggae Icon Dennis Brown’s “Revolution” was featured. Produced by Sly & Robbie and released through the Taxi label in 1983, Brown called for the people to stand up and fight for what is right. If you want a life that’s peaceful, a life that is good and filled with love, you have to join the ranks and fight. The track was featured on Brown’s 1985 album of the same name, was sampled by Bounty Killa and Public Enemy, and covered by Bad Brains. “Revolution” is also one of Dennis Brown’s most popular singles.

“Apex” starring Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton is out now on Netflix.
