Dancehall Artist Vanessa Bling had the Jamaican music scene in a chokehold with her singles over the years. While she may not be as prominent locally as before, she is doing damage overseas thanks her live performances. She aims to flood the streets with new music, but before that, she wants to make statements. Recently, she made the big step with the release of the “Truly Gifted Riddim“.

Released through Vanessa Bling’s VB Records, the “Truly Gifted Riddim” boasts an All-Female lineup for a compilation that will have the people talking. Bling dives into the world of Music Production, and calls on Tifa, Pamputtae, D’Angel, Marcy Chin, and Suspense to join her in the new takeover. The ladies brought their A-game on the new Riddim, and they show a unity that’s not always present in the Dancehall scene. With a new Riddim comes promotion, and Bling and company plan to take it on the road with a series of live performances, with dates and locations to be shared in the future. The “Truly Gifted Riddim” looks to take its place as an important production like “Gal Click Riddim“, which was produced by Spice and released in 2013. Let’s see what 2025 has in store for more Female-lead productions.

December we’re here, and that means Christmas is around the corner. There will be plenty to be festive about, including new music! Production duo Circa Eleven are getting involved in the festivities this time around, and they have a new EP for the holidays. It’s time to update your holiday playlists with the new “Peppa Lights” EP.

Featuring 3 tracks, the lineup of Recording Artists Gio Mar (son of Wayne Marshall), Jay YGT, and Rizk are celebrating a “Dancehall Christmas” with Circa Eleven on “Peppa Lights, Vol. 1“. What started out as a conversation during a TikTok live about the need for some Dancehall-themed Christmas music this past November, quickly turned into a series of recordings from a number of Artists. When approaching the creation of the EP, Circa wanted to pay tribute to classic Christmas music on the production while the Artists shared their own prospectives when it came to Christmas music. On “First Christmas“, Gio Mar shared his need for his special person for the holidays, on “Holiday Time“, Jay YGT sought to rekindle some lost love for the season, while Rizk was in a festive mood as he parties away on “Jolly Dolly“. Some time ago, he announced that he will be releasing the project, “Pretty Girls Like Trap” a.k.a. “PGLT“. Producer/Recording Artist Iotosh has been putting in the work. From his early years producing for a number of upcoming Recording Artists, he has always ensured that he stood out with his sound. Catching the attention of big names like Protoje, things started to elevate for his career, and he became a go to Producer over time. When he started putting his vocals and lyrics to his beats, things got very interesting, and soon he was holding his own with some of his peers. His dedication to the music has paid off in a number of ways for him, and he has not reached his final form. However, he celebrates the milestone of a debut project in the form of an EP called, “For The People“.

Featuring 8 tracks, Iotosh stands tall as a future legend with his “For The People” EP. Packed with conscious themes, songs reflecting on real life situations, and a showcase of skilled songwriting, Iotosh shows growth with his debut. If you’re a follower of this platform, you’d know of Canada-based Recording Artist King Cruff. Since the late 2010s, he has been on the scene building his fanbase, and developing his sound. Blending Hip Hop with Dancehall, Reggae, Afrobeats, Pop, and a lil EDM, he has been winning over listeners with his selections, and silencing his doubters. Earlier this year, we released a Short Film on Cruff, and he revealed that he would be releasing a project this year. He came through on that word with the release of his debut EP, “What Have I ‘Don“.

Presenting 6 tracks, King Cruff takes center stage with his “What Have I ‘Don” EP. His skillset takes an upgrade as he shows that world that he is made for this. An exhibition of potent flows and sharp lyrics that tap into Afrobeats, Dancehall, Hip Hop, and Pop sounds, this representative of the Tuff Gong camp has what it takes to make music that will stand out. Released through Tuff Gong Collective/Universal Music Canada, Cruff recruited Banx & Ranx, !llmind, CircaEleven, OLivR, and Natural High Music for some heavy production while Skip Marley, Solo Yt, Jag.Huligin, and StoneBwoy join in on the fun. King Cruff is here to make an impact and do a lot for the culture, and like his Grandfather, dem a go tyad fi see him face.
