March 8th is recognized worldwide as International Women’s Day. This day highlights women all over the world who doing great things in every category you can think of. We salute you today, so how about a lil music? Hopping on our Spotify channel, we’ve compiled a few tracks that empower women…inna Dancehall style! Today’s new entry will surely have a few fans reminiscing. Former “Students” of Vybz Kartel’s Portmore Empire, Popcaan and Jahvinci reunite in a new single titled “Steamy“. With Poppy’s familiar delivery and Jahvinci’s signature sound, they grab the guns and fire off plenty rounds on this one. After being previewed for some time, fans heavily anticipated this collaboration. Despite being in different situations after all these years, it’s good that they could make the link and deliver some heat! Leaving skulls and rifles steamy, call the Coroner. Women’s Month and International Women’s Day are observed here, and we have Recording Artist Blvk H3ro to kick things off. With his debut Album pending for a 2018 release, he dedicates the second single to the Matriarch in “Mama“. Produced by Bastian Ka, with assistance from Lorenzo “Lance” West and mixed by Johnoye “Shotta Biggs” Bucknor, H3ro rides a Guitar led production that finds him playing out a conversation with his Mother. Described as the “Divine Feminine“, Blvk goes on to shower her with praises for being there for him, all while updating her on the many happenings in his life. With his signature delivery and a smooth Instrumental, let this be the soundtrack for your next heart to heart with the #1 Woman in your life. This a nuh no play ting, Protoje is back with another tune that’ll you’ll sing over and over. With a new Album on the way, he fires off, “‘Bout Noon“! With Winta James and Lamont “Monty” Savory handling the boards, Diggy may have just dropped a tune that can almost take over “Rasta Love” for the top spot as the new favourite. If you’ve never seen the impact “Rasta Love” had on the ladies when it dropped, you missed out on a moment. With “‘Bout Noon”, this calls for the secret getaways, the spontaneous dates, and even the late night Romantic Comedy watching while you and your significant other stay cozy under the fuzzy blanket.
