Today’s mixtape comes from Boston rapper and protege of the currently incarcerated Max B, Riot. Titled Elevated, this is a 5 track EP of music about women, his day to day life, hustling, and why he and other rappers aren’t alike. With head nodding production from JizzleMuzik, Kid Class and Matcy P, this a great effort from the rapper with a laid back flow. If you’re not familiar with the young rapper, this can be a crash course. Keep yourself elevated, stay humble, keep riding the wave, and listen to Riot! Free Max B. Today’s new music comes from a collaboration between UK’s DJ Neeko, Onira and Hurricane Jermaine. Titled “Herbalist Man” and produced by Onira and Neeko as O.S.O.M., we hear Hurricane Jermaine singing about his love for the herbs while we get a bit of dubstep throughout the track. Not a bad effort from them, very interesting hearing dubstep with lyrics encouraging the use of marijuana. It’s the healing of the nation so If you get some, you know what to do. OLDIES SUNDAY: @CapletonMusic – Forward Inna Dem Clothes (2001)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from the Prophet Capleton also known as the “Fire Man“. Titled “Forward Inna Dem Clothes” and produced by Greensleeves in 2001, Capleton deejays about women being more modest in their attire and how they should carry themselves in public. He also deejays that he prefers those women more as he is a Rastafarian with certain morals and principles.

Today’s new music comes from Canadian Rapper Kardinal Offishall and Trinidad’s Bunji Garlin. Titled “Famous” and produced by Ricky Blaze, we hear the two artists letting the ladies know that rolling with them may make them famous and they also tell their experiences with ladies who approached them before knowing that they’re famous. Good effort by the rapper and Soca artist, nice flow by Bunji as well. The hook sounds radio ready and this is a fun production by Ricky Blaze. Come and say hi, you know i’m famous. With June being a popular month for weddings and anniversaries, singer I Shawna took the time out to make a song to show dedication.  Titled “Anniversary” and produced by Real Madd Ent. on the “Vacation” Riddim, we hear I Shawna reminiscing on moments she has spent with her lover, what emotions she has felt, and celebrating their anniversary. Not a bad effort from I Shawna, this is a song for the couples out there who are about to celebrate anniversaries or are even looking to take the next step in their relationship.
