It’s all about the ladies from the Motherland in this one as Singer/Producer Roe Summerz teams up with “Da Big Voice” Edley Shine in “African Girls (Ethiopian Girls)“! Directed by Devin Johnson, we find the duo taking it to the club as they party and get to know some lovely ladies. Roe Summerz delivers the vocals for the beauties, while Edley deejays his way to their hearts. The track is a Shinealous Records release, and is expected to add extra heat this Summer! Edley Shine is of the Born JAmericans and RefixKingz fame, and has been dropping singles over the year through his US based Shinealous Records while Roe Summerz has been producing and collaborating with the likes of GiRL (“High”), and Maticulus Auburn (“All For You”). During his recent travels, the “Unruly Boss” Popcaan stopped by the Noisey offices to be a part of the “The People Vs” series. Here, Popcaan reads comments off Youtube for his 2015 Music Video for “Love Yuh Bad“. From the good to weird, Popcaan handles as many comments as he can from viewers worldwide. “Love Yuh Bad” was featured on Popcaan’s debut album, “Where We Come From“, and was sampled on Drake’s “Views” album. For those in the UK, you can catch Poppy performing alongside Stefflon Don, and D Double E. Popcaan is also busy working on new music, and maybe a follow up to his debut album. DJ Khaled is at it again! Having released his new album, “Grateful“, he has a lot of work to flood the streets. Today, along with the album, he unleashed the visual for “I’m So Grateful (Intro)“. Directed by Ivan Berrios, we get treated to a lot of crisp visuals, wonderful vocals from Sizzla Kalonji, and an appearance from baby Asahd Khaled. We have a lot to be grateful for, so let this video kickstart that expression of gratitude today! Great to see Khaled connecting with Reggae and Dancehall Artists as they’ve been a part of his DJ career from day one. The album also features Dancehall Artist Mavado. “Grateful” is now available on iTunes. Check out the video below!

@Bourdain Takes On Trinidad In “Parts Unknown”!

Media Personality/Chef Anthony Bourdain has seen many countries in his lifetime. With his various Television shows he has not only enjoyed the food, but learned some of the culture from each country. In season 9 of his “Parts Unknown” series, he makes an appearance in Trinidad. From conversing about Steel Pan Music with Composer Lennox “Boogsie” Sharpe and Journalist Kim Johnson, to discussing Carnival with Choreographer La Shaun Prescott, to learning about the arrival of the East Indians through Indentured Servitude and race with former T&T Ambassador to China Chandradath Singh, Producer Keshav (his son), and their family, to learning about the Lebanese and Syrians in Bayshore, the episode comes to a close with meeting Recording Artist Muhammad Muwakil of the Freetown Collective, Calypso Legend Calypso Rose, and many more! The “Trelawny Son” Charly Black continues to make his star shine even brighter with no dimming anytime soon! From scoring hit songs and collecting plaques, he now adds performing on one of America’s biggest Daytime Talk Shows to his list. Touching the stage on the Wendy Williams Show, Charly performed his monster single, the DJ Kurt Riley produced “Party Animal“. The single, which was released in 2015 on the Jambe-An Riddim, has managed to score 100 Million streams on Spotify recently, a milestone for the Dancehall Artist. With his name continuing to make marks Internationally, Charly will be keeping busy this Summer as he’ll be performing at Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2017, and recording numerous International collaborations.
