PRESS RELEASE: @TheReleaseJA On @HypeTVJamaica Partners With @SunCity104_9FM

Entertainment programme ‘The Release’ is now in its 3rd Season on Hype TV and has recently inked a deal with SunCity 104.9 FM to be broadcasted on radio as well! The 10 minute programme features new entertainment news releases along with new music and is hosted by the CEO of Taylor Made Events and PR Management, Talisa Taylor. She said “I am extremely excited to host ‘The Release’ on SunCity Radio; they have built a strong relationship with my company over the years”.

The programme presently airs on Hype TV in Jamaica, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua and St. Vincent & the Grenadines and can also be seen on Hype TV’s YouTube Channel for further viewing. The CEO of SunCity 104.9FM, Steve Billings shared “I watch The Release on Hype TV every week so I was extremely delighted to work with Talisa in developing a radio version of the programme”. Hype TV’s CEO Johann Dawes added “Hype TV welcomes the collaboration between The Release and SunCity Radio as this will further expose an excellent show to a very important segment of the market”.

The programme showcases 4-5 top entertainment releases and 3 top music releases each week along with the must go events of each week. The Internet sponsors of the show are Yardhype.com, Boneyaad.com and 13thStreetPromotions.com. These websites promote the show and act as the ambassadors for each episode.

The Release airs on Hype TV every Tuesday at 8:30 pm with repeats Thursdays and Saturdays 6:30 pm and now on SunCity 104.9FM on Tuesdays at 8:40 pm. The Release can be found on Instagram and Twitter (@TheReleaseja) and is executive produced by Talisa Taylor and Joseph Moore.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Sugar Minott – Herbman Hustling (1984)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection is dedicated to the hustlers. We go back to the early 80’s with the late Sugar Minott. Titled “Herbman Hustling” and produced by Sly & Robbie for the Taxi Records in 1984. The song speaks on the day to day experiences of the Marijuana merchant including dealing with the law, and sourcing the best product. Minott’s delivery in this single puts the listener in a first person perspective (and possibly catch a contact high) over the smooth Sly & Robbie production.

PRESS RELEASE: Pritty Di General Gaining Momentum From Viral Video

Upcoming Artiste Pritty Di General has gained a much needed buzz with the recent video of Shelly Belly going viral. The clip was shot on set of Pritty’s video shoot from his collaboration with Dancehall artiste Pamputtae known as ‘Siddung’. The 15 second video clip shows Shelly Belly and two women in the popular ‘6:30’ posture while he gyrates on them simultaneously while doing his signature chain-swinging dance known as ‘Circle the Globe’.

The clip was also reposted by popular rap artiste 50 Cent who is known to be quite popular for his social media rants. “Shelly Belly is always doing his signature dances in videos and at parties but I am glad that this particular video went viral as it also opened a gate way for my music”, said Pritty. The recording artiste shared that he is even more excited about releasing the actual video for the collaboration which was shot by Robert Cooper at Hellshire Beach in St. Catherine.

Prior to this collaboration Pritty Di General released his single titled ‘Montego Bay’. The single was a success and became an anthem to many Jamaicans living in America. He received air play locally and internationally and is now eager to start his promotional trail in Jamaica.
