In preparation of the Stay Schemin’ party that will be held this saturday in the West Cumberland area of Portmore, the Yung Gunnerz released a mixtape. Titled as the “Official Stay Schemin’ Mixtape“, this features almost an hour worth of Hip Hop music, Dancehall Music, and a choice selection of dubs from some of the best artists in the business. Captain Sparta, is he a friend or a foe? Can he leap tall buildings in a single bound? We’ll just have to stay tuned. Tonight’s new music video comes from Tommy Lee. Titled “Captain Sparta” and directed by Mental Chung (Dutty Bwoy series), we all know about his controversial song so we now have a visual. Very nice graphics however, a mix of 3D, comic book styles and cartoon characters it sure is interesting. He also has children involved as well. What a weird looking Jimmy Neutron. Vybz Kartel seems to be the hardest working deejay in Jamaica right now, jail can’t slow him down. Today a new music video is released. Titled “Ever Blessed” and directed by BDB Media Group, we hear Zip 103 FM’s ZJ Chrome introducing the single while a lovely lady dances in her room to it for the entire video. No Vybz Kartel stunt doubles, just a young lady who seems to be the one who owns the “Ever Blessed” property and is waiting for the World Boss to come home. On today’s episode of Noisey Jamaica Dancehall Show Gaza Slim is the featured artist. We see Codine Williams, Slim and crew situated at a courthouse in Kingston where Vybz Kartel attended a court date. Here Gaza Slim told Codine about her start in the music business, meeting Vybz Kartel, his incarceration, members of the Portmore Empire, her “Addi” tattoo, and other things. They also visited the West Bank community in Portmore and spoke to a few of Kartel’s fans and learned of the impact Kartel has on the community. After Reggae Sumfest in the last episode, Codine Williams visited Popcaan at the Half Moon Hotel to interview him, and Interact with him and his “Unruly Gang“. He spoke about his meeting with Snoop Dogg, his style of music, weed, and few other things. Interesting to see Codine joining Popcaan for a smoke, she’s coughing alot.
