Rapper Slim I.D. may be a lil late to kicking off his 2017, but when it comes to the money, he’s earlier than the sun! Inspired by Rappers Future & Rick Ross’ “That’s A Check“, he stepped in the booth and added his bars for his own remix! With Phantom handling the Production, Slim goes in like the Tax Man when that payment is overdue! If you owe Slim I.D. money, I’d advise you to get every sent together and pay him in Cash, Cheque, Paypal, Western Union, and any other way you get that money sent off! Stay tuned as Slim I.D. is working on his follow up to “The Initiative” (Available on iTunes and Spotify). Check out the track below!
Get your prayers up. As the “Savage” Mixtape’s release draws near, Rapper Tazz of the High Tunez Gang released a new freestyle. Over Rick Ross’ “Money & Power“, Tazz delivers “On God“. Here he lets listeners in on what’s to come on the project, and lets the competition know he’s not playing around as he owns the production with his unique flow and a chock full of lyrics. Tazz even put the beat on timeout so he could rhyme acapella. You may need to rewind this a few times to catch the lines. Get your Rosary beads out. For some, “Dutty Pop” Artist Kris Kelli is a rookie, but to folks like me, she is a veteran in the game and today she drops a new tune. Titled “Me & You“, this features the biggest boss in the game, Rick Ross. Over a familiar sample, Kris speaks on holding down her man, them forming an unbreakable bond, and together they can conquer the world while Rozay spits lines about his Boss Lady making moves with him. A dope combination here off Kris’ upcoming “3rd World Problem” project. Marvin and Tammy, Hov and Beyonce, Kartel and Shorty. Dropping it like it’s hot for the fans is Jamaican recording artist, Tessanne Chin! Titled “Fire” and produced by Florida’s J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, who have worked with Rick Ross, T-Pain, and Mary J. Blige to name a few, Tessanne turns up the tempo and goes old school soul on this selection. Here she promotes self worth and empowerment over a funky production that encourages some serious moves on the dance floor. Expect this one to burn up the airwaves, and no need for gloves as picking this single up won’t burn your fingers. Loving this from “Chinita Goodaz“. Available on iTunes tomorrow so make sure you get it for your daily playlist. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Today’s new mixtape comes from DJ Flipcyide of Wu Worldwide DJ Coalition and Jamaica’s own Junior Reid. Titled “Undeniable“, this is a 25 track compilation of Junior Reid’s international collaborations with major label artists who include Fat Joe, Lil Wayne, Smiff N Wessun, Rick Ross and the Wu-Tang Clan. Popular collaborations included are Alicia Keys’ “No One Remix”, MIMS’ “This Is Why I’m Hot Remix”, The Game’s “It’s Ok” and his own “One Blood” which has been a part of a few collaborations as a sample or redone by the artist. Thanks to his hit “One Blood”, Junior Reid has been the one to call for collaborations over the years from popular artists and that has not slowed down since. Jamaicans are everywhere and today’s new music shows that Jamaican artists can be put on alongside big names. Titled “Fire” and features top acts Bun B, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz and Serani, we hear them bringing the war to anyone who oppose them and their crews. Interesting to hear Bun B and Rick Ross try their hand at patois. This isn’t the first time Serani has lent his hooks to hip hop singles but it’s always great seeing Jamaicans do good things. *”Big belly man, big belly man man“. Off Bun B’s upcoming “Trill 4 Life” album, check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
