It’s been a while since we’ve featured Jamaican Rapper Gotti OG. With him feeling like a “Wockstar” the last time, he now gears up to release a project filled with some of his best work. Kicking things off till then, he releases the “Nomad Freestyle“. With production by Circa11, Gotti gives listeners that “drip talk” until that mixtape drops. With the visual shot by ShotByDeth, we find Gotti in the Studio putting together the bars in the booth and letting some good weed smoke fill the room. With “Marinas & Moet” floating around as the suggested title of the mixtape, listeners can look forward to more Gotti OG in the coming months. This is for the ladies who have “the face of an Angel, but the eyes of the Devil” who ride shotgun in their man’s car. Be ready for whatever girl! Konshens continues his run of International collaborations. From tracks with Rick Ross, Nipsey Hussle, and E-40 to name a few, we get the visual with Recording Artist B-Rae for the The Kemist produced track, “Shotgun“! While we find B-Rae proclaiming the role as a “Ride or die chick” on the track, Konshens holds it down for her and assures her that they’re a great combination. Throughout the Sam Braventon directed video however, we find them counting money, cruising in a Chevy Bel-Air, and escaping a Police raid. It’s all about being together forever, having each other’s backs, and making a lot of things happen together no matter how what’s going on. A dream is just the beginning when you’re on a mission to achieve greatness. Rapper Five Steez knows that too well as he continues his journey in music. With the follow up to his 2016 Mordecai Beats assisted collab project “HeatRockz” on the way, he aims to hold listeners over with the single, “Dreamer“. With Mordecai handling the production, the track features Shaq The MC on the hook as Steez shares bits of his life growing up and pursuing his passion, music. This song is also motivation for those who have dreams to build on them. Not a fan of the delivery of the hook on “Pete Sweat’s” part, but the track is a good listen overall. “Love N Art” is the name of the followup project, and sees a 2019 release. With many unsure of the chances of the “World Boss” being a free man anytime soon, it’s good that we have plenty of his music to hold us over till then. Having had a run of Vybz Kartel themed mixtapes, DJ Heavy D of the big bad Chromatic Sound delivers another one in time for the holiday party season. Titled “Str8 Vybz Vol. 1“, we get over an hour of Addi hits, dubplates, collaborations, and some offerings from some of his “children” that we know you’ll love all over again. Dancehall & Reggae Music continue to influence many worldwide whether through the various sounds, lyrics, or even some of the people who create from the genres. Today’s entry is no different as famed Hip Hop Producer 9th Wonder dabbled in a bit of the sounds in his latest compilation album, “Jamla Is The Squad 2“! While the album features a host of tracks for every flavour, it’s the opening track that will surprise and awe many. On “Welcome To JamRoc“, the opening vocals come courtesy of Dancehall Artist Quick Cook, while the following production samples Damian “Junior Gong” Marley’s “Welcome To JamRock“, and Ini Kamoze’s “World A Music“. With 9th tackling the production, Rapsody, Heather Victoria, GQ, Reuben Vincent, and Ian Kelly provide the lyrics that go well with the dope sounds. This isn’t the first time 9th sampled Jamaican music as he borrowed sounds from The Mighty Diamonds on the tracks “L.A.” and “Bad Man” by MURS, and Third World on the track “Let It Go” by Little Brother.
