Today’s mixtape comes from U.S. based DJ Journee. Titled “Rolling Mix” and hosted by Jamaican Rapper Five Steez, this a collaboration with Jui-Jitsu/MMA apparel company CTRL Industries and the DJ. The mix features some really good remixes from the DJ with tracks by Five Steez, Busy Signal, Kabaka Pyramid, Nas, Pete Rock and many more. Five Steez has been making moves lately, one of them happens to be today’s video titled “Propheticz“. Directed by @ItsLynky, Five Steez and fellow Jamaican rapper Inztinkz trade bars while being on the lookout. Simple, no need for the extra effects, just two rappers doing their jobs. Today’s entry comes from Filmmaker Marcus Bird as looks into the life of Jamaican Hip Hop a.k.a. “YardCore“. Recording footage from the Yardcore Cypher event that was held on sunday January 13 in Kingston Jamaica, Bird highlights some of the best in the business dropping lyrics bombs. Artists included Five Steez, TSD, Nomad Carlos and TMO. For those who missed out on the event this video highlights some of the energy that was given there.
