The Covid 19 pandemic may have everywhere on lockdown, but the creativity remains open 24/7. Toronto Producer DJ Blkluos wasted no time during this as he teamed up with Toronto acts 333 Zilla and MDRandle for the “Isolation EP“. with 4 tracks loaded, we get a dose of fresh sample-filled production from Blkluos that backs the tag team of Hip Hop and R&B vibes from 333 Zilla and MDRandle here. Together, the trio produce some great music, and may catch you off guard at how well they work together. The quarantine may bring on a lot of stress and pressure, but it produced lots of jewels from these 3 creatives.

You’re on lockdown and bored in a house, what’s the next best thing to do? Sleep? Eat? Nah, listen to some music and build a vibe! Today, we’ve teamed up with UK based DJ Farda Neeko to provide just that. Get your ears and body ready for the “Quarantine Dancehall Mix“!

With over 4 hours of nothing but Dancehall, it’s time to turn that space you’re staying in into the biggest Club you’ve ever been to. With hits from some of your favourite Artists, it’s time to bust out the dance moves, and finally learn all the hits word for word. This marks the 2nd collaborative Mixtape we’ve done with Neeko as we made some noise with the Tommy Lee Sparta “Gaza Man Krazy Mixtape” in 2013. While the streets are getting hot in various ways, we hope to keep you occupied with the music we’ve provided.

With the Coronavirus (Covid 19) making a scene and shutting everything down, we urge you all to stay safe and sanitize. While Carnival 2020 came to a screeching halt during this pandemic worldwide, Revelers, Promoters, DJs, and crews are having a rough time now. We encourage you all to stay creative, and one person who has been doing that is DJ Dono V. Having dropped a series of mixes, he wanted to give Soca fans a much needed boost with the “Soca Charged 2020” Mixtape!

Featuring many of the latest releases, you can “Quarantine and Galang Bad” thanks to Dono V’s juggling. For those who bought Costumes, you can rock something and make a few videos to this Mix (If you do, be sure to tweet us at @13thStreetPromo or send us a clip on IG at @13thStreetPromo, and we’ll share it). Yes Ring Road and all the Soca events will be missed, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Vybz Kartel & @GovanaGenna Drop New Albums For 2020!

Two Dancehall giants leveled up for the 2020 with the release of albums. First off, we have Vybz Kartel’s “To: Tanesha” project, and then Govana with his debut album, “Humans And Monsters Are Not The Same“. Featuring 10 tracks, “To: Tanesha” finds Vybz Kartel being vulnerable and pouring his heart out throughout. For those unaware, Tanesha “Shorty” Johnson is Vybz’s Common-Law Wife, and the mother of 3 of his sons (two of which are Recording Artists Likkle Vybz and Likkle Addi). While their relationship has been a topic of rumor mills, Vybz found himself letting it all out through songs. The album also features appearances from Jada Kingdom, Slimatic, Jodi Couture, Jesse Royal, and Sikka Rymes.

Govana’s “H.A.M.A.N.T.S.” features 14 tracks, and finds him delivering motivational songs, gyal tunes, party tracks, and giving us a lil Social Commentary. Originally known as Deablo, he is a member of Aidonia’s 4th Genna camp, and has been enjoying a rapid run since the name change. For many, this album was highly anticipated and promises to be a repeater. The album features appearances by Tarrus Riley, Dre Island, and Protoje.

The 2nd place winner of the 2009 Heineken Green Synergy Competition and 1st place winner of the 2012 King Of Spin series, he has been rocking many events across Jamaica, and was even affiliated with the Skunk Nation Car Club.He gets back on the grind today as he returns with “The Takeover” Mixtape!
