When you think about it, we are truly blessed everyday. Life has its share of ups and downs, but to live to see and learn from them is something to give thanks for. For Manchester based Natural Bond Entertainment and Recording Artiste Bugle, life is the greatest thing, and you can hear about it and more on the upcoming single, “Life Still Well”.

Produced by Natural Bond Entertainment, Bugle handles the vocals as he further expounds why life is still the greatest despite what’s going on around him. With the world being rocked with the Covid 19 pandemic among other things this year, Bugle looks to keep the listener in a conscious state of mind, make us be aware that once you have life, you have everything, and remind us that God is still in control and you don’t have a need for unnecessary things that provide a false sense of security. With a longstanding career filled with timeless music, Bugle ensures that “Life Still Well” will provide an ample amount of motivation, and be a mainstay in many playlists and music collections worldwide.

Natural Bond Entertainment continues to release great music in 2020, and 2021 will find them dominating in the music scene even more and connecting with great artistes. With “Porus Riddim” and “Gold Leaf Riddim” being in discussions as contenders for the year’s best compilations, the Manchester based label helped to give upcoming and established artists a steady amount of buzz, and provided unique sounds that rocked the airwaves, streets, and speakers globally. Not slowing down on the work ethic however, they look to announce more releases in the coming weeks.

On the Blog, we highlight, promote, and celebrate some of the Caribbean’s best creative talent. We’ve helped many from “Day one“, and we’ve watched their growth over the years to becoming a household name and more. GRAMMY winning Producer SOS Dynamikz is one of those talents we’ve seen build his way up long before this Blog was even created. Today on his birthday (December 12), we highlight him in our new Short Film, “SOS Dynamikz“!

Shot at his home in Manchester (Jamaica), we caught SOS Dynamikz getting into his production zone while we give you tidbits of information on him. He even shared the creative process behind Koffee’s “Blazin” featuring Jane Macgizmo that was featured on Koffee’s GRAMMY winning “Rapture” EP. If you’re new to SOS Dynamikz, this is a great opportunity to know about him. If you’re a fan, we give you an inside look on the method to SOS’ madness (lol).

The Christmas season is one that brings people together, and a lil more love is shown. Unfortunately for this year, Covid 19 made sure we don’t get to be around many of those we love. It’s also a time where many loved ones are missed, whether family members or close friends who passed away, someone missing that significant other for one reason or another, or just a situation where a loved one is unable to be present. For the sad times however, we just have to celebrate as if they’re still around. Recording Artist Naomi Cowan knows a thing or two about this, and today she covers a classic on her latest release.

Taking us back to 1994, Naomi Cowan covers Mariah Carey’s classic, “Miss You Most (At Christmas Time)“. Featuring production from Tessellated and CircaEleven, Naomi gives us a beautiful take on the Carey hit with her signature vocals. Accompanying the track is a visualizer directed by JP Williams and shot at Stush in the Bush in St. Ann. The original track was the second single released from Mariah Carey’s “Merry Christmas” album, which features the timeless classic, “All I Want For Christmas Is You“. If you’re missing someone during the holiday season, let Naomi’s lovely vocals put you at ease.

Canadian Vocalist Emanuel is an artist on the rise who has been making great strides this year. Having made a huge impression with the single, “Black Woman” last month, he is joined by two Jamaican greats for the remix!

Produced by the legendary Supa Dups and featuring “Singy Singy” Tarrus Riley, Emanuel’s single gets a makeover filled with great Reggae production with an amazing pairing of vocals that will surely put a smile on the Black Queens worldwide. The original track featured production by the legendary Kardinal Offishall, John Fellner, and Ryan Bakalarczyk. Linking up with Tarrus according to Emanuel “felt like the stars were aligning“. “I know Tarrus Riley from going to the parties of my Jamaican friends where they play music that’s big and nostalgic for them. His song ‘She’s Royal’ is just huge, people are still bumping it in 2020! I think people really appreciate the legacy of that song and the link up is really big for what ‘Black Woman’ means and what I want the legacy of ‘Black Woman’ to be. To have him on it, it felt like the stars were aligning. After starting off the 4th quarter with new music from Scantana and Saine, Kingston based DZL Records strikes again with more music in time for the holiday season. The pandemic hasn’t stopped the Dale “Dizzle” Virgo founded label from putting out good music, and with new releases from Scantana and Seanresy, listeners will be in for a bonus.

Having made waves with “Goodie Goodie” recently, Scantana gives listeners another track to close the year off with in the street anthem, “Money Mecca”. Teaming up with Dale Virgo again, Scantana showcases lyrical dominance here with witty lines and adds some fun to his new street single. “Money Mecca” was originally titled “Money Mekka (Money Maker)” according to artist, but he decided to play on words as he deejays about being on the hustle in the Island that has birthed so many hustlers. With lines like, “Mi up like 747 24/7, mi fi start hustle 8 but mi deh deh fore 7, get it fi three five me a sell it for 7, tilli money tally like AK4…”, Scantana’s title as “Di man wid di most Grammar” is immediately confirmed as his skillset has been proven to be unmatched. “Money Mecca” is the 2nd single off Scantana’s “4WD (4 Work Days) EP” which is slated to be released in early 2021. Born Kibwe Lawrence in Central Kingston’s ”Tel Aviv” area, Scantana is a Rapper, Motivational Speaker, Actor, and Screenplay Writer. He found a love for music at an early age, wrote his first song at the age of 12, and went on to make a name for himself in New York’s South Bronx neighbourhood, and in Jamaica. He has shared the stage with the likes of Ma$e, Foxy Brown, SWV, and many others, and has collaborated with the likes of Anthony Red Roze, PseudoKhule, Serani, and Bugle.

Following Scantana is Seanresy with his latest single, “Fly Away”. Produced by Dale Virgo, Seanresy shares his need of wanting to get away from many things and situations that have been holding him and many others back. Not only does he reflect on his past experiences with poverty and those who have tried to hinder his growth and success, he shows that he is determined to not let them get in the way of him becoming a great man. The song finds him not only deejaying but singing on the chorus, and listeners will instantly connect with him and relate to the lyrics. Seanresy hopes that listeners will find some motivation in “Fly Away”, and help to propel the song to various parts of the globe. Born Shawn Baccas in Penwood Estate in Kingston, music found Seanresy’s interest from an early age. Mentored by the late King Tubby, Seanresy has been blessing the world with great releases like “Bridges”, “Join Hands”, and “Preach War”.

Earlier, the Recording Academy announced their many nominations for the 2021 GRAMMYs. From Pop to Bluegrass to Hip Hop, the world got a chance to see if their faves would be called up to possibly snag the golden award come January 2021. The “Best Reggae Album” category saw an interesting lineup this time around, and while there was celebration, there was some disappointed. The “Best Reggae Album” nominations are:

While many were hoping for acts like Protoje, Lila Ike, and Popcaan getting called up this year with their respective projects, Chronixx scored a nom for his appearance of Free Nationals’ 2019 self-titled album, Producer Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor and Koffee grab another one for their contributions on John Legend’s “Bigger Love” album, Noah Powa, Shaggy, Inner Circle, and Bounty Killa score noms for their appearance on Maxi Priest’s album while Skip Marley adds two more nominations for his H.E.R. featured single “Slow Down“, and his appearance on The Wailers’ “One World” album.
