In recent times however, she parked the skits to hit the booth, and gave us some good music. This Summer she aimed to give listeners more with the release of her debut EP, “Aura“. Featuring 8 tracks, she gives listeners a different side to her with various subject matter and delivery. With Boston Recording Artist Alexander Padei being the sole guest feature, the spotlight is all on Bella throughout. It’s not often you hear of an Incarcerated Recording Artist consistently releasing music. Vybz Kartel has been very busy with it, but his fellow Gaza Artist Shawn Storm is trying to get on that level. Both Artists have been given their respective sentences in 2014, and while the supporters are campaigning for their freedom, the Artists are recording to keep their names out their, and stay above the madness of their situation. Shawn Storm keeps his head high with the release of “Real Life, Vol. 1“.

Released through A. Records, “Real Life, Vol. 1” is a compilation of Shawn Storm tunes that will keep his name relevant in the streets while he lives his day to day life behind bars. The 14 track project looks to be a great addition to the collection of every Gaza fan, and if things go in the right direction, we’ll be getting more from Sivva. Start A Party “Pon D Block” With @MentalChung’s New Tune!

Remember Mental Chung? He had a nice run a few years ago with his “DuttyBwoy” Youtube Animation series which featured the likeness of Vybz Kartel, Usain Bolt, Bounty Killa, and Mavado. He has also done work for Tommy Lee Sparta, Vybz Kartel, and Zamunda to name a few. He also took a crack at being a Dancehall Artist and recently dropped a new video called, “Pon D Block“! Directed by Chung and Zenny with production by Nicetime Productions, Chung takes on the role of a DJ throwing a party in the neighbourhood. From there we get scenes of dancers putting on the moves including a Shopkeeper who couldn’t help herself, and Chung bringing the vibes wherever he goes. A fun song to listen to, and the video is one to watch many times. Thank you Mental Chung for the “DuttyBwoy” series, we hope that comes back too.
