Pay Attention, the premiere Hip Hop event, was held on Saturday October 5, 2013 at Club Indulge (Upstairs South Beach Cafe). Featuring performances by Slo Mo, BPM, Mario Evon and The Sickest Drama (TSD), it was another moment that highlighted the Jamaican Hip Hop movement going strong. It’s a collab between the Gentleman and Mr. Lova Lova! Shaggy and Neyo bring to you their video for the single “You Girl“. The video revolves around a couple travelling, enjoying each other’s company, and topping off the night dancing at Shaggy and Neyo’s concert. The artists can also be seen rehearsing in parts of the video for their concert and making smooth moves with the ladies. NEW MUSIC: @IAmChronixx x @KabakaPyramid – Mi Alright

Today’s new music comes from Reggae artists Chronixx and Kabaka Pyramid. Titled “Mi Alright” and produced by Chimney Records on the “Rising Sun Riddim“, we hear them talking about having no worries, giving thanks and praise to Jah, and just enjoying life. Very positive song from the artists, Chronixx’s chorus really blended well with Kabaka’s lyrics. Sounds like a hit and I’d love to hear more collabs from these two. Today’s episode of Onstage also featured Reggae artist Tarrus Riley. Here he spoke about the media not giving much attention to the revival of the One Drop Reggae movement, his dislike for Dancehall and Reggae being shown as rivals rather than being equals in various aspects in the media, his performance and experience at the Authur Guinness Day concert, wanting Reggae and its other forms to get more respect locally, his recent tour, and performing with Snoop Lion on separate stages. Interesting interview that ended on a great note. I do hope lots of changes are made in the future
