US/Montego Bay based Label RoRo Jammings Productions has enjoyed a successful 2019. With releases from Recording Artist DeeClef and Beatboxer/Producer Mixing Lab making noise in the music scene, RoRo Jammings looks to produce more talent and make a difference. On their first official release for 2020, the Label enlists Canadian based Recording Artist Jay Heart for the single, “Cyah Copy”.

Armed with smooth vocals and a commanding delivery over some melodic production, Jay Heart dedicates his new single to that special lady who is one of kind, and can never be duplicated. Jay Heart hopes to see the single get a lot of spins when it’s released, and it quickly becomes a fan favourite. Ros-Ann Cann, founder of RoRo Jammings, is excited about the single’s release, and looks forward to it making waves worldwide as she works to make her label even bigger. 

A relatively new Artist on the scene, Jay Heart is a Multi-Instrumentalist, Singer/Songwriter, and Producer who looks to make a name for himself in various parts of the world. “Cyah Copy” is Jay Heart’s 2nd official release as his debut single, “Friendzoned”, was released in February. His affiliation with RoRo Jammings Productions was an easy move to make, and together they look to reap the benefits of their hard work.

RoRo Jammings Productions and Jay Heart’s “Cyah Copy” single will be released on Friday April 3rd with preorders starting on Friday March 27 (Click here to preorder). Alicia Keys always come through with a motivational song. Having hits since the early 2000s, she has probably done it all. With her “Underdog” single touching many worldwide, it’s only right she did a remix. With Jamaica in mind, she called up Chronixx and Protoje to join her for the “Underdog (Remix)“. Featuring production from Grammy Award winning Producer Izy Beats, and Grammy nominated Producer P2J, the trio join forces and sounds together, and provide the light we need in these seemingly dark times. The world needs a lot of love.

This isn’t Alicia Keys’ first foray into Jamaican collabs, her “You Don’t Know My Name” single was given a Reggae remix, she collaborated with the legendary Junior Reid on the “No One (Remix)“, and who can forget her getting on Cham’s “Ghetto Story (Chapter 2)“? She has always had a soft spot for Jamaica, and “Underdog (Remix)” may be a sign of a lot more to come. Looks like her cover of Chronixx’s “I Can” made the spark. Nobody can take away your determination!

The blessings continue to flow for Koffee. When “Toast” was released in 2018, no one could predict how quickly her career would take off. A major label signing, an EP release, millions of streams, major placements and bookings, and a Grammy later, Koffee is still reigning supreme. Recently, LIFEWTR (a subsidiary of Beverage giant Pepsico), released a new commercial promoting creativity, and how their product fuels it. Blasting throughout the Commercial, is Koffee’s “Toast” can be heard for its soundtrack!

Produced by Izy Beats and Walshy Fire, the song features Koffee giving thanks for her many blessings, and leaving listeners with the catchphrase, “Gratitude Is A Must“. Since the recording’s release, it has been featured in the soundtrack for Jordan Peele’s “US” (details on that here), being a repeat listen for many of your faves (including Barack and Michelle Obama, and Jay Z), and its music video crossing the 100 Million plays mark. We Pay Tribute To The Late @_KennyRogers In Reggae Style

While the world is on standby with this Coronavirus Pandemic, the music scene woke up to news of the passing of Country Music Icon, Kenny Rogers. With a career spanning decades, the legend passed away on March 20 at the age of 81. One Country that mourns his passing is Jamaica as his music touched many people of all ages through the years. Like Canadian Singer Celine Dion, Kenny Rogers became an honorary Jamaican, and was emulated by many Artists including the late Moses Samuels a.k.a. “Reggae Rogers“, a popular Recording Artist/MC from Clarendon. Kenny Rogers even set up shop here with his “Kenny Rogers Roasters” franchises. Today, we pay tribute to this great man with a collection of Reggae covers by some of your favourite Artists.

To be loved is something special, but when the love is unrequited that shifts a lot of things. Continuing his run of Friday releases, Daley HTG gives us, “Love Me Now“.

Produced by and featuring Limitless Joe, Daley gets his things together and moves on from someone who hasn’t been showing him the same love he was giving. Throughout the song, Daley shares that he has spent a lot of time, love, and energy on her, and he just doesn’t see the use in sticking around if it’s not mutual. He lets her know that there is someone  Released through his NEUYU partnership, Daley gives us another piece of art to hold us over for another week till the new project sees a release date. When Jah 9 speaks, many will listen. With a career that has been well-regarded and respected, she continues to elevate to higher heights. With album #3, “Note To Self” seeing a release date, she gets in her creative bag to give us the “Note To Self” Short Film.

Directed by Fernando F. Hevia and Samo Kush, Jah 9 dives into the theme of self-awareness through her combination of Music and Art into a beautiful experience that runs for 13 minutes. She shares that, “Getting to know one’s self can seem like an obscure pursuit, but the study is indeed rewarding. Get intimate with your boundaries and the ways in which your essence is contained. In many ways, surviving can be like a war against a vast unknown world, it will prove invaluable having an intimate understanding of yourself and the materials, talents, flaws and gifts you are given. A proper inventory is key. The Note To Self documentary gives context to the album which I do my best to share myself in this state of consistent inventory management,” Jah9 states. “These themes and transitions are visited on the songs throughout the album, and then revisited in narrative form through this documentary. Together they present a summary of my latest effort, a self thesis.”
