Silkki Wonda continues to add to his long roster of self-produced music with the addition of his latest single “Time and Space”. The single, featuring rising artiste Dexta Malawi, addresses the lack of showing peace and love in the modern era that seems inconvenient for many. “Where is your mind? Into Time and Space. Where is that love I give to you with no dismay?”

With a rocking melody that will have you moving; Silkki continues his strong tone of positive word play and the use of Reggae-Hip Hop beats to express his views on the neglect and ignorance showed towards ghetto youths and others who are in need. Dexta Malawi makes a strong appearance on the track that results in a successful collaboration. Time and Space can be heard via Soundcloud and Youtube.

As a part of Digicel’s “Bring The Beat” Campaign, the company has enlisted the likes of Usain Bolt, Machel Montano, Tessanne Chin and Producers Kickraux, Ricky Remedy, Anson Soverall for the single. With its mix of Island music and the mission to represent the Caribbean culture, sports, music and life, this comes ahead of the Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil in August with participation from many Caribbean Athletes. Jelani Paul of Untitled51 assists in animating the energetic lyrics and Production here. Time to “Buss di dance” and wave your flags this summer! We’ve featured this single a few months ago and heard greatness from what some may call a unique pairing but recently, Recording Artist Allan Kingdom took the trip to Jamaica, called up Chronixx and brought to us “Fables“. Directed by Martin C. Pariseau and starring Damanhi Mcghuie and Oprah Forknot, the Artists share their stories on breaking stereotypes, refuting things that they’ve heard about growing up to be fables, and standing out while connecting with nature. These lyrics blend in with the visual as we see a young man taking the trek to discover his own truth by leaving his home and finding a woman who lives by a river. Devin Di Dakta has been booked for the newly revamped Reggae Sumfest. The artiste who recently released the collaboration with dancehall’s new naughty girl RR entitled ‘Rev Out Di RR’ is now eager to hit the stage with RR by his side. Both artistes signed to the John John Music Group label have been receiving great reviews for the single and airplay locally and internationally.

RR has collaborated with artistes such as Movado, Sizzla and Bay C to name a few.  Additionally, she has been working with several producers on releasing new sizzling dancehall singles for the summer. RR said “I am excited that Devin has invited me to perform with him on Reggae Sumfest. This will be my first time and I am preparing for a mind blowing performance”. Devin added “RR is a growing brand and she is an incredible talent, we have great chemistry on stage”.

Manager for both artistes Shelly-Ann Curran of John John Music Group is also excited about the venture and is satisfied with the progress of both acts. “What we have at John John Music Group is a double dose of passion and talent so we believe that they will leave their mark on Reggae Sumfest”.

With Tanto Metro & Devonte being the Influence behind this hit, Toronto Artist Tory Lanez gave fans a visual for the single, “LUV“. Featuring beautiful women, an old school ride, and some very clean shots/scenes, Tory’s Dancehall-tinged single is now more infectious than his previous hit, “Say It“. With the population in Canada being a melting pot of many cultures and nationalities, it’s no surprise when established and up and coming acts add the Caribbean Influence to their music.
