.@Bizwys Links Up With @WavyWavyJones For “No Fuss”!

Nothing like getting new music, and we’re glad to deliver it to you! Today’s new entry comes from UK Recording Artist Biz as she teams up with Jamaican Producer Wavy Jones for her new single, “No Fuss“. Here she gives listeners a lil bit of Hip Hop and R&B as she speaks on being a “Ride or die Chick“, not bringing drama, and being a one of a kind girl for someone who will treat her right. She lets us in on some of her experiences in a relationship, and lets that person know that if he doesn’t act right, she’ll move on. If she’s the one you need, you have to let her know. Jones’ sampled based production on this track fits the lyrics well and definitely adds to the replay value. Imagine a video for this track. Artwork provided by the talented Romario Lynch a.k.a. “SeenByLynch“. Be on the look out for a new project for Wavy Jones in the coming months. The track is now available on all streaming platforms so get yourself a copy. Otherwise, check out the track below and share with a friend. Show us some love on Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Locksley Gichie & The Zion Boys – Teach The Children (1974)

In recognition of May being Child’s Month, our Oldies Sunday selection comes from Locksley Gichie of the UK band The Cimarons along with The Zion Boys. Titled “Teach The Children“, this was produced by Kush and released through Harry J Records in 1974. The song calls for listeners to raise children in the right ways, know GOD, teach them how to be creative and make their world a better place, and help them to spread peace and love into the world.

The single was released on vinyl as a B-side with the main track being “I’m Leaving It Up To You” by Winston Reid & The Zion Boys. Since then, Locksley continued his role as Guitarist for The Cimarons over the years. Gichie has also lent his skills to various Artists including Los Aggrotones.

.@DiRealShaggy & @OfficialSting Perform “Don’t Make Me Wait” At 60th Grammys!

The 60th Grammy Awards event was a memorable one for many. While some went home with awards, there were others who got “robbed“, and others performed and made an impact. It was all fun when Host James Corden teamed up with International Recording Artists Shaggy and Sting for a special version of “Carpool Karaoke“. With the location of the Grammys being in New York, they took it to the Subway to perform a 3 man version of Shaggy and Sting’s new single, “Don’t Make Me Wait“. The performance was met with boos however as passengers weren’t enjoying Corden’s contribution. Being persistent, Corden continued to perform with them only to end up with a bloody nose.

The 2nd half of Shaggy & Sting’s appearance found them being introduced at the Grammys by Corden for a real performance of their new single. It first kicked off with Sting performing his classic “Englishman In New York” which followed by Shaggy appearing onstage later. With many mistaking Shaggy for Rapper Jim Jones because of his appearance, the performance was an awesome one, and definitely had people looking forward to their “44/876” project which has a April 20 release date. OLDIES SUNDAY (Christmas): @NinjaManMusic – Christmas Breeze (1988)

It’s Christmas Eve, and we bring to you our final entry in the Christmas Edition of “Oldies Sunday“! Today we call up “Di original Gold teet, front teet, gun pon teet, Don Gorgon“, Ninja Man! With Christmas in the air, we present to you his 1988 single, “Christmas Breeze“! Produced by L. Hellyter for the UK based Sling 1 Label, Ninja brings the Holiday vibes as the “Gold toothed Santa” to the session as he speaks on feeling the “Christmas breeze“, wanting to feel happy around this time of the year, encouraging unity, enjoying Christmas in any way you can, and his Christmas experiences in Kingston and London.

This post also pays a small tribute to the Don Gorgon as he was given a life sentence this past week. We will miss his commentary, his persona, and his presence in the Dancehall world. We wished that “Get Out of Jail Free” card worked.

THANK YOU NINJAMAN, AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!
