On today’s episode of Noisey Jamaica Dancehall Show Gaza Slim is the featured artist. We see Codine Williams, Slim and crew situated at a courthouse in Kingston where Vybz Kartel attended a court date. Here Gaza Slim told Codine about her start in the music business, meeting Vybz Kartel, his incarceration, members of the Portmore Empire, her “Addi” tattoo, and other things. They also visited the West Bank community in Portmore and spoke to a few of Kartel’s fans and learned of the impact Kartel has on the community. NEW MUSIC: @ItsJahmiel_YVP – Freedom (It Will Be Ok)

Prison is not a bed of roses, many are in the system unfairly as well. Today’s new music comes from YVP artist Jahmiel. Titled “Freedom (It Will Be Ok)” and produced by Dunwell Productions, Jahmiel speaks about the experiences of someone who is locked up. He speaks about the day to day life, missing his family and all that comes with it, and also telling those who have friends and family that are incarcerated that it will be ok and freedom will come. Gaza Slim today released the music video for her single “Wine“. Directed by DK Konsepp, we see Gaza Slim writing songs and showing us and her friends the the kind of wine she uses to “hold” her man.
