Beenie Man is a King of Dancehall. Love him or hate him, he is the greatest Dancehall Entertainer, and he has plenty moments at stage shows, and attendees to vouch for that. With over 40 years in music, it’s still crazy that a former child star not named Michael Jackson has made his name transcend generations. In 2021, Beenie shared that he would release a new album. After a few delays, he has finally liberated “Simma“.

“Simma” features 20 tracks, and it finds Beenie Man still holding his own in Dancehall Music. Never one to stay boxed in, he tries out a few different styles for this album. Whether your taste is the traditional Dancehall/Reggae, or even the new wave of NY and UK Drill, Beenie has something for everyone. Production on “Simma” include the likes of Suku, Dutty Rock Productions, Walshy Fire, The FaNaTiX, Frankie Music, Tony Kelly, and Teddy Riley. Beenie shares the album with a number of friends including Giggs, Popcaan, PatoranKing, Busy Signal, Ms. Banks, Sean Paul, StoneBwoy, Mÿa, and more. Beenie Man promises that you will be thoroughly entertained by his new album, and you have to respect a man who has given most of his life to this music. Respect the King.

Done in collaboration with Walshy Fire and Tempoe who provided great sounds, Voice delivers a track that will have couples dancing away this summer. The video, which was directed by Captain Plexx, finds Voice pursuing his love interest, and we see them interacting in various ways with a few dancing moments added. The production beautifully compliments Voice’s vocals, and we believe this track will connect with a lot of couples in the coming weeks. A great way to start the summer, get close to your favourite person and press play!

The trio known as Major Lazer has been tapped into the Caribbean since the beginning. Whether they’re sampling Reggae/Dancehall classics, or putting a modern spin on some of the genres, or collaborating with future Caribbean legends, they have opened up a lane for a wider audience. Returning to the scene with a new member Ape Drums (Trinidad’s Jillionaire left the group in 2019 to pursue a solo career), Major Lazer gives us the new album, “Music Is The Weapon” which finds Shenseea, Busy Signal, and Skip Marley as featured guests on the tracks “Tiny“, “Sun Comes Up“, and “Can’t Take It From Me” respectively.

Shenseea, Busy Signal, and Skip Marley are no strangers to International collabs, and Busy Signal has been racking up appearances on Major Lazer projects for a long time. Major Lazer continues to blend genres together and make the whole world dance, and the featured artists help to bring even more vibes. “Music Is The Weapon” is out now! DJ/Producer Walshy Fire is really busy these days. While he does his time with Major Lazer, he dabbles in a lot of solo work and assisting the careers of many of your faves. This year however, Walshy sets to release his debut solo effort titled, “ABENG“! With days before its release, he unleashes the visual for “Call Me“! Directed by Jocelyn Cooper, this features Afrobeats star Mr. Eazi, and Dancehall Artist Kranium. With their blend of Dancehall and Afrobeats, this one goes out to all the ladies who need a lover to call on. The summer comes early with this collab, and Walshy Fire has a lot more to unleash when “ABENG” drops on June 7.
