The winner for Best Music Blog is…“…”The winner for Best Entertainment Blog is…13thStreetPromotions!

I’m still surprised that I won two awards at the Jamaica Blog Awards, this has been a highlight. While i’ve said some thank yous on twitter, I do want to say many thanks to all who voted for me, visited my blog, shared my links, and worked with me. My blog means so much to me, it’s my baby so to speak, and being able to help people was also a pleasure. Many of you don’t know that my blogging has helped me in more ways than just gaining views. I’ve been suffering bouts of depression since 2011 and while I have a few people to thank for their help, my blog also helped me out of it…not 100% but I’m getting there. I’ve also dealt with the feelings involved in being unemployed, even though I’ve been hired as a freelance writer for MechanicalDummy.com i’m still going through a few things.

One thing I wanted to mention in my speech that I never got to say. Investors, Artists, Media Houses, Businesses…HELP THE BLOGGERS! We are not just people who “Live” behind a computer, many of us are still unknown…reach out to us, work with us!

Special mention goes out to Jody Ann Williams, StacyAnn Hayles, Damali Henry, Tamara Weller, Shana ReidLouise KearnsRamekee James, Dadrian Gordon, Andre Byfield, Carla Moore, Calvin StovallOrnella Young, Kadeem MorrisTammy and Floyd, TashieBrady Brown, Rochelle Campbell, Corve DaCostaBrittany BlackwoodShawna Green and Ricardo Brooks.

If I haven’t mentioned you, DO NOT get upset for there are many many thoughts swirling in my head.

Thank you as well to Karen Lloyd, although we aren’t as cool as before.
