Beenie Man is a King of Dancehall. Love him or hate him, he is the greatest Dancehall Entertainer, and he has plenty moments at stage shows, and attendees to vouch for that. With over 40 years in music, it’s still crazy that a former child star not named Michael Jackson has made his name transcend generations. In 2021, Beenie shared that he would release a new album. After a few delays, he has finally liberated “Simma“.

“Simma” features 20 tracks, and it finds Beenie Man still holding his own in Dancehall Music. Never one to stay boxed in, he tries out a few different styles for this album. Whether your taste is the traditional Dancehall/Reggae, or even the new wave of NY and UK Drill, Beenie has something for everyone. Production on “Simma” include the likes of Suku, Dutty Rock Productions, Walshy Fire, The FaNaTiX, Frankie Music, Tony Kelly, and Teddy Riley. Beenie shares the album with a number of friends including Giggs, Popcaan, PatoranKing, Busy Signal, Ms. Banks, Sean Paul, StoneBwoy, Mÿa, and more. Burna Boy continues to take gigantic steps around the world.  Trinibad Artist Boy Boy has been staying busy putting together and releasing new content over the past few months, and is not slowing down anytime soon. Still maintaining a following and his name being prominent locally and abroad, he has a lot more in store for the rest of the year. He makes his presence felt with the release of the “More Than 100” EP.

Featuring 4 tracks, Boy Boy is giving the fans a small dose of content to hold them over until a bigger project is ready. “Bufu“, a track featured on the EP, helped to start up the EP’s anticipation. Valiant & Diplomats Records Finally Release The “4:14 Mixtape”

When Dancehall Artist Valiant got his big break, he shifted gears and continued rising to the top. Having made his name known locally and Internationally, it’s like he found a hit almost every week. To make his place more official, he needed a project. After teasing it for some time, he releases the long-awaited “4:14 Mixtape“.

Done in conjunction with Diplomats Records, DJ Mac, and DJ Biigy, Valiant presents the “4:14 Mixtape” as thanks to his many fans. “4:14” was inspired by the birth of his son and the day his “Kotch E Hat A Lie” video went viral, and the project consists of 21 tracks filled with unreleased tracks and remixes. The project also features collaborations with Serani, Rotimi, Kant10t, Cashan, Leaha, Chronic Law, Tatik, and Kranium, and makes for a great listen. With new tunes to enjoy, expect Valiant to take some of them on the road this summer, and the rest of the year through live performances. Ready to listen?

Ghanaian Musician/Recording Artist Baaba J has been blessing the world with her melodies and sounds for a number of years. What first started as dream during her younger years have now turned into a full fledged career, scoring a following globally, and providing her various opportunities. It has been a while since she released her debut project, “Lumumba St.“, and she now steps out with her sophomore effort, the “Okay Baby, Let’s Do This” EP.

Featuring 7 tracks, Baaba J gives the world a reintroduction on “Okay Baby, Let’s Do This”. The project is filled with words of motivation, positivity, and it taps into the Ghanaian culture as you can hear Twi spoken throughout. The Afro-Fusion production on OBLDT was made possible by MERK, 4Play, NiiQuaye, Loudaa, and GuiltyBeatz, and they help to amplify Baaba’s words and melodies throughout. With two EPs in, we can expect her debut album to be one of those monumental moments that will really have the world’s attention. Until then, tap into the sounds of Baaba J. Who knows, maybe we’ll hear her collaborate with one of our Jamaica Artists in the future.
