It’s “Rabbit Season” For Feloni19 With New EP

It’s open season for new music, and Recording Artist Feloni19 is always ready with some. The young Artist has been on the scene for a while, and has steadily built his following. Formerly known as “Felony“, the Montego Bay native brings a “fwoce” that quickly found favour with listeners. After covering some ground, he puts “Rabbit Season” on the notice board with new EP.

Featuring 8 tracks, Feloni19 is on the hunt with his debut EP, “Rabbit Season”. One of the newer members of the Trap Dancehall movement, he taps into familiar tropes here, but his delivery aims to connect with listeners. Known for “Force Lakka Rabbit“, “44305“, and the recent “Duppyman Style” with Skippa, the new EP is packed with enough material that will become favourites for the fans. Production on “Rabbit Season” includes the likes of DJ Mac, Cash Code, Lonzo Records, YV Entertainment, and Luwige Records. It’s Spring, and the hunt is on.

The world is tense right now, and there’s so much going on. Many of us are seeking comfort, seeking a place of calm, a place of love. Some say music will provide the direction for those things, and they may be onto something. Here’s Recording Artist Ras-I with his new single, “Home“.

Produced by Keneil Drumz for Koastal Kings and featuring Khalia, Ras-I looks on love as an emotional shelter in, “Home”. Flings and sneaky linkings are cool and all, but what about that love where you feel your best in? What about being with someone you can be yourself with? In a time where relationships end as soon as they start, we’re looking for our bubble, and when we find that peace, it will be a life-changing experience. Ras-I and Khalia join in voices beautifully for this one, and it will be featured on the upcoming album, “Heart Of Love“. The season has changed, but real love shouldn’t. Alkaline Celebrates Longevity & Dominance With “NPT” Album

It’s like it was just last week when we first heard of a Teenager who had ambitions of becoming one of Dancehall’s greats. It feels like yesterday when the same Artist said “2016” was going to be one of his biggest years. We’re in the year 2026, and Dancehall Artist Alkaline is one the genre’s biggest Artists, with a fanbase that is still strong. Since his debut in the early 2010s, he has become a contender amongst his peers, caused some controversy, scored hits, sold out concerts, and has maintained relevancy despite what was placed against him over time. Today, he shares his newest album, “NPT“.

Consisting of 16 tracks, Alkaline celebrates continued dominance, and a much-respected longevity  with the new album, “NPT”. Nearly 10 years since his critically-acclaimed debut album “New Level Unlocked” and nearly 5 years since “Top Prize“, we see an Artist who has experienced a lot on the new project. His musical style has shown some age, and he continues to cater to his fanbase, deliver for the ladies and the streets, and sends a word or few to those who are still praying for his downfall. His longevity is not a lonely one as some of his friends join him in the production side. From Sartout Records, to BlackSpyda, Gegodon, Sponge Music, and Armzhouse Records along with his Autobamb Records team, the sound is still strong throughout the album. Not many can stay relevant in this scene, and Alkaline has maintained quite a number of years. Some may try to detract, others try to undermine, but “NPT” when it comes to the “Detta Boss“.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Della Manley – Ashes On The Windowsill (1998)

The Month of March is recognized as “Women’s History Month”. On “Oldies Sunday”, we highlight a number of Women who have made an impact, and significant contributions to music. For today’s selection, we look back at Della Manley’s “Ashes On The Windowsill“.

Produced by Ray Hitchins and released in 1998, Della Manley spoke on the aftermath of war in, “Ashes On The Windowsill”. In 1980, Jamaica was heavy with political violence during the election season, and the events left indelible marks on the population, and in 1983 it inspired a young Manley to write her first song. The US Invasion of Grenada, and the state of the environment also inspired the haunting song’s lyrics, and it connected with the people, and peaked the interest of her late Father-In-Law, Michael Manley. Michael Manley was the former Prime Minister of Jamaica who was the Island’s 4th PM from 1972-1980, the Leader of the People’s National Party (PNP), and has experienced quite the share of political tension and conflict. The Folk single was featured on Della Manley’s debut album of the same name, and the album version was just one of a number of versions that made the final cut. It was originally named “Prophecy“, and featured production by Fab Five, Inc., and Producer Native.

Since the release of “Ashes On The Windowsill”, Della Manley went on to release more music. She secured a sizable following over the years, and performed in various parts of Jamaica, and the world. She unfortunately was a victim of a car accident in March 2025, and fundraising efforts for her were made since, including a concert called “The JAM is BACK” in Kingston. Manley’s music continues to find new listeners, including “Ashes On The Windowsill”.
