BbyShanzz Gets “Motion” With New Single

You know her for her dancing videos with some of your favourite Artists, you know her “Marga Patsy” character, but did you know UK-based Content Creator Bbyshanzz is also a Recording Artist? Over the years she has released a number of singles, some of which have enjoyed viral moments. While she thrives in other areas, she looks to have some serious “Motion” with her music, and her latest single.

Produced by Deggzy, BbyShanzz has visions for success in, “Motion”. She reflects on believing in herself and putting her talents out there, dealing with doubters, but maintains that what is hers is out there waiting. We all want that kind of life-changing success, and Shanzz is just one of many who is working towards it. The single has been getting attention on Social Media, with fans of the Creator requesting an official music video. While you can catch “Marga Patsy” in the streets with Skillibeng or Shenseea, or dancing in New York or London, just know that she’s aiming for the top.

Elephant Man Avoids Conflict In “Eyelash”

In the game of love and relationships, there are people who keep a roster. It’s art when one can maintain a roster without conflicts, and there will come a time where a slip up happens. Dancehall Artist Elephant Man wants a peaceful life with a steady rotation, but there will always be that one moment when it goes downhill. He speaks about it in, “Eyelash“.

Produced by GrippyNation Records/Energy God Productions with a sampling of the classic “Juice Riddim“, Elephant Man is trying to live a drama-free life in, “Eyelash”. While he enjoys having a lovely lady over, it’s when she leaves behind a souvenir that causes arguments. One will try to leave her underwear behind, another might smear lipstick on clothes, but you have to be careful of the one who purposely leaves behind her eyelashes. Sometimes it’s not left out in the open, but the next lady might find it in the worst moment possible. Ele uses this time to warn the Men, and encourage them to be cautious because when she gets mad, nothing (nor anyone) is safe. Also keep in mind, the roles can be reversed, and that’s another conflict.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Wilkins – Margarita (1987)

Break out the outfits, it’s “Hispanic Heritage Month” on “Oldies Sunday“! Hispanic Americans continue to make significant contributions to entertainment, sports, and pop culture, and we have highlighted a number of them over the years. For today’s selection, we go back in time to check out Puerto Rican Artist Wilkins’ “Margarita“.

Produced by Michael Sembello and Randy Waldman and released through WEA in 1987, Wilkins sings for the love of his dreams in, “Margarita”. Armed with uptempo production, Wilkins shares that he desires her greatly, and despite seeing her in his dreams, those are moments he needs to relive. The Salsa single earned the Singer popularity since its release, earning him chart placements, and gold certifications in Latin American, the US, European, African, and Asian markets. The track was also remixed a number of times over the years. “Margarita” was featured on his 1987 album “Paraiso Perdido“, and the 1988 Film, “Salsa“.

Since the release of “Margarita”, Wilkins went on to continue a very successful career. He released over 40 albums before retiring in 2007, but has “unretired” a number of times through tours. Wilkins has built a legacy that will inspire generations, and he is to be celebrated. “Margarita” remains one of his greatest hits.

The Rt. Excellent Marcus Garvey once said, “Up, you mighty race. Accomplish what you will“. Those words were said nearly 100 years, and still resonate with many people today, including Dancehall/Reggae Artist Wayne J. Recently, he stepped forward with the new single, “Atlantic Trade“.

Produced by Crossfire Entertainment, Wayne J shares a History lesson, and words to get the people going in, “Atlantic Trade”. For those who missed the classes, Wayne shares the timeline dating back to the time of the Tainos in the Caribbean, the invasions of the Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch, and English which lead to genocide, colonization, and the Atlantic Slave Trade, to Black people overcoming great oppression, to accomplishing so much today, and fighting to get back what is owed to them from the Colonizers. The Deejay handles the lessons well with his delivery, and ensures that the listener is tuned in to the kind of music that needs to be in more places. It’s all about militancy, and we look forward to more Wayne J like this in the future. Wise up, Black people. The time is now to revolt!

Future Fambo Gets The Streets Dancing With “Beg You Pardon”

Nowadays, when you hear the name “Future Fambo“, it’s all about funny moments on Social Media, and catchy singles. Having well over 30 years in music can be one thing, but maintaining a presence is to be respected. The past summer saw the Deejay going viral, and being booked and busy, and they aren’t stopped anytime soon. Ready to take on the street dances again, he delivers, “Beg You Pardon“.

Produced by Supa Hype and Ram Jam, Future Fambo keeps it mannerly and eloquent with the release of, “Beg You Pardon”. With a catchy vibe that calls for the Dancers, he emphasizes that disrespect won’t be tolerated in his circle, nor the communities he resides in as they will be dealt with the right fashion. He also shouts out prominent Dons throughout the track. The single was previewed over the past few weeks, with Dancers taking to the streets with new moves, and fans demanding its release. You can catch Fambo at the Airport heading to his next destination, but don’t approach him the wrong way, or else you’ll hear “I beg your pardon?“.
