Lamar Clan music! J Yungg today released highly anticipated music video for his popular single “Sinners Prayer“. Directed by G Dot Solo from Canada and shot in Grange Hill Westmoreland, J Yungg deejays that despite his sinning, he’s trying to do better and win at the same time. Very clean video and features cameos from Krish Genius, DJ Absolute of Linkz 96 FM, and Anita Baker of Elite Models (Angel). NEW VIDEO: @SnoopDogg x @Mavado_Gully x @PopCaanMusic – Lighters Up

After premiering the single a few weeks back, Snoop Dogg finally released the video for his collaborative effort with Mavado and Popcaan. Titled “Lighters Up“, the three artists create bonfires, flick lighters, smoke weed and promote unity everywhere they go. Directed by Dre Finn, Dax speaks his mind on the content of artists and hopes to bring the music back to when it was all about clean and positive messages. Codine Williams hosts yet again another episode in the Noisey Music series “Noisey Jamaica Dancehall Show“. In this episode Vybz Kartel’s “son” Popcaan was featured. Here they followed Popcaan to see him rehearse before Reggae Sumfest, then to see him and many partrons celebrate his birthday party. I like that his music is being promoted during the video and people are vocal that they love his music. A word of advice: DO NOT make a video of Shabba Ranks without his permission. Have you seen the new commercial VW released to promote their new vehicle? In the video an American mimicks the Jamaican accent and ideals and encourages his co-workers to smile and be happy. In addition to the release of the video, many people have been commenting about it and giving either positive reviews…or negative ones suggesting that it’s racist. I personally think it was rather funny and shed a positive light on us since many foreigners believe we are very violent people.
