Freedom sweet, ain’t it? Vybz Kartel has been enjoying it like never before. Currently in the England, the Deejay has been on a comeback journey since July 31, 2024, and he’s just getting started. A welcome back Concert, new singles, reconnecting with many, and enjoying life and love, he is grateful. Speaking of reconnecting, he did just that recently with the legendary Busta Rhymes, and earlier they released the new collaboration called, “Crazy“.

Produced by Hitmaker and featuring the legendary Akon, Busta Rhymes and Vybz Kartel solidify their friendship even more, and gave us another collaboration in, “Crazy”. Busta gives us some of his signature bars while Akon shows why he is in the league of greats, and Vybz shares his new and positive outlook on life, with the declaration that “God is the greatest”. The last time Busta and Vybz collaborated was on “The Don & The Boss” from 2021, so them being in the same space together for this new track was nothing short of a blessing. Remember when Vybz remixed Akon’s hit single “Locked Up“? Good times. Here’s to more collaborations.

R&B Veteran Keith Sweat always had a thing for delivering that feel good grown folks music. From his debut decades ago, he has been the one to turn up the heat for the ladies. Recently, he released his 13th studio album, “Playing For Keeps“. While fans know what to expect from the R&B Crooner, his collaboration with Dancehall Artist Alkaline on “Fuego” was a pump on the brakes. The track, which also features Akon and RayFade, boasts some modern production and encourages you to bust a move throughout. Are there hints of Aidonia and Di Genius’ “Fi Di Jockey” and Donovan Germaine and Dave Kelly’s “Dickie” Riddims I hear? Alkaline held his own on this track and this a huge look for not only the Dancehall Artist, but for the genre on a whole. Big up the Detta Boss. Keith Sweat’s new album is out now. February 6 marks the day two Reggae legends were born, Bob Marley, and Bunny Rugs. Bob Marley started out in Trench Town, and became a larger than life Icon while Bunny Rugs made his mark as a Solo Artist, and Lead Vocalist for one of Reggae’s most successful Bands, Third World. While many pay respects to them today, we’d like to look back at a few songs that further immortalized them through samples. Samples will come from Bob Marley’s solo singles, or with The Wailers, and from Third World Band during Rugs’ time. Enjoy!

PxP a.k.a. The Passport Experience is an annual Festival held at the Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, Georgia. With its first staging held on July 19 and Rapper Akon handling the hosting duties, patrons got to experience a wide range of talent on stage. Dreggae, who was booked to perform, was joined by DJ Shane Talon and the Lipstik Bandits and delivered some of his great selections. Filmed by Sean G. and D.
