NEW VIDEO: @OnstageTV Interviews @DAngel_Music x Marco Dean

MD

It’s only natural when an offspring of an entertainer wants to follow in their parents’ footsteps. On Onstage over the weekend, Marco Dean, son of D’Angel and Beenie Man joined his mom on Onstage to speak on his plans for Mother’s Day. Here the 8 year old spoke about School, making something for his mother for Mother’s Day, not wanting to follow the footsteps of his mom and dad, and being an active kid. D’Angel also spoke about her career, enjoying her son’s growth, being a “Momtrepreneur“, closing down her clothing business to focus on her career and motherhood, being an actress and her upcoming film, and future plans. This was a hilarious interview as Marco Dean is just being a kid here, it’s good to know that Beenie and D’Angel are working hard to be loving and supporting parents. OLDIES SUNDAY: Pan Head – GunMan Tune (1991)

[In respect to the 17th anniversary of Biggie Smalls’ passing, my Oldies Sunday selection features a song he sampled on his first album.]

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from Deejay Pan Head. Titled “Gunman Tune” with production by Lloyd “John John” James Jr. on the “Soap Riddim” and distribution by Father & Son Records in 1991, we hear Pan Head paying tribute to all the gun men in Jamaica while showing disrespect to informants (or snitches). He also speaks on the different communities that the gunmen reside in, the types of weaponry they have in their artillery, how they use them and the type of friends gunmen and informants should have.

NEW VIDEO: @Kevin2woKrayzee – Unnecessary Censorship: JA Edition

k2kToday’s new video comes from Kevin2woKrayzee and I believe this is a hit. Titled “Unnecessary Censorship“, this is his Jamaican take on the popular Jimmy Kimmel series in the US. Here he adds censorship to various Jamaican news reports and interviews. If you’ve never seen these videos before you’d really think they cursed. Very good job on this one Kevin, I wish to see more. BETAwards

While tonight many viewers got to see their favourite artists win awards at the 2013 BET Awards, they were also in for a treat from some great performances from Jamaica. Featuring Elephant Man, Beenie Man, Dawn Penn, Chaka Demus and Pliers, and hosted by Radio Jock Jabba, these artists performed a couple of their hits to the delight of the audience. Great representation, let’s hope this can open up more opportunities for Jamaican acts once they act right. What do you think? NEW MUSIC: @RaineSeville x @KingBeenieMan – You Choose

Today’s new music comes from Raine Seville and Beenie Man, and this is for the adventurous lovers. Titled “You Choose“, and produced by Locke City Music Group, we hear Beenie Man dropping lyrics about how he will turn on his lady and give her a most pleasurable experience while Raine sings that they can do it wherever, whenever and however. Not a bad collaboration, Raine has been working on being consistent this year and Beenie Man always manages to get radio play. What do you think of the song? Check it out below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW VIDEO: OnstageTV Interviews @IAmKhago

Khagoonstage

After making headlines recently, Khago was the next artist to make it onto the Onstage set. Here he spoke about his sister who called him out publicly with negative remarks, the negative energy he has received recently, his recent performances, Beenie Man showing him love and helping him out in his career, his issues with management, his album and future projects. Interesting Interview by the artist, he sure spoke his mind on his struggles before making it big, management and providing for his mom. I hope there isn’t anymore negative news about him in the near future. What you think? Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
