No matter where he is, Vybz Kartel has always represented where he’s from and this new single is no different. Titled “Represent Portmore” and produced by Short Boss Muzik, Kartel drops a few punchlines to have your attention, how he lives his life, and makes sure you know that he’s from Portmore over a retro Dancehall riddim. A good one as always from the World Boss and I like that old Dancehall/Reggae riddims are creeping back on the music scene. This week the world will know if Vybz Kartel will either see years in a prison cell, or freedom for the first time in a couple years. Following his win at the Sting 2013 clash, Black Ryno has been steadily releasing singles. Recently he released the video for the single, “Baddest Thing“. Directed by Terminal 4 Media, Ryno is seen showing off his Clash Champion belt and declaring that he’s the “Baddest Thing” while being accompanied by dancing ladies. Looking forward to more Ryno singles this year and although it’s too early to call and minus the jabs he’s received lately, who will clash with him? While many couples are enjoying Valentine’s Day, there are others who celebrate being single & free. Today Shie drops a new song for all the single ladies out there. Titled “Single & Free“, Shie sings about being free from a bad relationship where she gave her all but was let down in the end. She also sings about being single, ready to mingle and leaving all the stress and tears behind. Great song from Shie as it may become an uplifting song for the ladies for today and beyond. No one deserves to be in a bad relationship so why not liberate yourself and find better? Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Today is a day for lovers and while many share a genuine love for each other, many have to lie to get some. Shae Mill debuts her new single today to tell us how it is. Titled “Sweet Love (Even If A Lie)“, and produced by Tri-Def Music Group, Shae sings on how she wouldn’t mind some love and affection from a certain someone, even if there isn’t a long term relationship in the works between them. Great effort from Shae Mill and I’m sure many can relate to it, though we may call it something else and many don’t have a significant other.
