Tommy Lee Sparta has been pretty busy in recent months. With numerous singles and albums everywhere, he aimed to keep his name hot despite whatever else is going on. Today’s no different as he released the much anticipated track, “Killers“! Produced by Thugz Bunny Music and features New Jersey Battle Rapper Arsonal, the track further shows Tommy Lee’s Rapper side (remember this collab?), and he handles his own along with Arsonal as they get into some Gangsta ish over a trap beat.

From New Jersey to Montego Bay, the Sparta Boss continues to make moves. How are you feeling the track? We might hear Tommy Lee getting into more Trap music later this year, so stay tuned! .@DawnPennMusic & Tenor Saw Classics Featured In “See You Yesterday” Film!

Have you been watching any films lately? If so, have you seen the new Netflix movie, “See You Yesterday“? Directed by Stefon Bristol and produced by Spike Lee, the movie finds two best friends, CJ and Sebastian, (Eden Duncan-Smith and Dante Crichlow respectively) building Time Machines in an effort to reverse the unjustly death of CJ’s brother. While the Film aims to give you a lil Sci Fi fun, you might hear some familiar music in it. As a part of the Film’s soundtrack, the late Tenor Saw’s 1985 hit, “Ring The Alarm“, and Dawn Penn’s 1994 hit, “You Don’t Love Me (No No No)” were featured! “Ring The Alarm” was featured on the “Stalag Riddim” and released through Winston Riley’s Techniques label while “You Don’t Love Me” was a Dancehall remake of Dawn Penn’s 1967 single.

The soundtrack choices wouldn’t be the first time a Spike Lee production featured Caribbean music as his Netflix series “She’s Gotta Have It” featured Dancehall, Reggae, and Soca music (more on that here). “See You Yesterday” is now playing on Netflix, but you can check out the Trailer below and share with a friend. OLDIES SUNDAY: White Mice – True Love (1987)

In recognition of May being “Child’s Month“, Oldies Sunday will be highlighting a few child stars who made some noise in music. Today we go back to the 80’s with Teenage Recording Artist White Mice with his single, “True Love“! Produced by Junior Delgado on the Far East Riddim and released through Incredible Music in 1987, White Mice shares his testimony that Jah always comes through for him, and blesses him. The single was later featured on Mice’s debut album of the same name.

White Mice started his career in his birth Parish of St. James, but moved to Kingston for better opportunities. He was a member of the late Sugar Minott’s “Youthman Promotions” camp, and with the help of his Brother Courtney Crichton, he found success with “True Love“. Since the song’s release, he has went on to release more music, and made the move to Europe to further his ambitions as he became a Sound System owner there.

DJ Khaled is back with a brand new album! Titled “Father of Asahd“, he finally got together all the surprise collaborations and anthems in one package to present to the world. If you’ve been following up with the DJ, you know he’s about his “Yaad man tings“, and with the release of his album comes Jamaican collaborations. One that kicks off the album is “Holy Mountain” which features Sizzla Kalonji, Mavado, and the “Gargamel” himself, Buju Banton! Recording Artist 070 Shake joins them for a solid opener filled with some proper delivery from the Artists over a sample of former Dancehall Child star, the late Billy Boyo with his hit “One Spliff A Day“.

While this track scorched many playlists, melted speakers, and became one of our favourites in 2017, Leno Banton and Royal Blu finally give us the visual for their track, “Meanwhile“! With JRDN MARS handling the visual, the duo take turns hitting you with the lines that you’ve enjoyed over that JLL production. It’s the mixture of fuego and light speed that you can’t get enough of since the song’s release. A bit of a trippy visual here with the addition of performance clips, and MARS did a really great job here as they fit the song perfectly. It is recommended that you have some herb for an enhanced viewing effect. Dem a talk, and dem a pree, but we just want you to catch the premiere viewing below.
