Jah Cure & T.O.K Sampled On New @JColeNC Album, “The Fall-Off”

New music is in the air, and many are breathing it all in now. American Rapper/Producer J. Cole earlier released his long-awaited album, “The Fall-Off“. The new album serves as his supposed final project, and is chock full of selections for the fans, and music lovers. The double disc covers various aspects of his life and music career, but there are familiar sounds featured throughout.

On the track, “Only You“, a track featuring Burna Boy and features production from T-Minus, DZL, and Luca Mauti, J. Cole raps about Fatherhood, the trial and tribulations of a long-term relationship, and the negative effects that can come from success. The track taps into a variety of sounds, but particularly tapped into something from Jamaica. “Only You” sampled Jah Cure’sLonging For“, and T.O.K’sFootprints” from the “Drop Leaf Riddim“. Released in 2004 and produced by Don Corleon a.k.a. Donovan Bennett for Don Corleon Records, “Longing For” was one of Jah Cure’s most successful releases while “Footprints” became one of T.O.K’s top crossover singles in the 2000s.

Jah Cure was incarcerated during the release of “Longing For”, and the track built heavy anticipation for the Singer locally and Internationally. It was later featured on his 2005 album “True Reflections…A New Beginning“. J. Cole’s “Only You” title borrows a lyric from the track as well. “Footprints” found T.O.K at the top of their game. The group that consisted of Alex, Bay-C, Craigy T, and Flexx eyed more International looks, the 2000s was good to them. “Footprints” gained Islandwide appeal, but when the music video premiered on US channels BET and MTV, the single secured a sizable part of the International market, and would be a mainstay for years to come. “Footprints” was featured on the group’s 2005 album, “Unknown Language“. Don Corleon’s “Drop Leaf Riddim” remains one of his most successful Riddims, and the 2004 release featured tracks from Bounty Killa, Morgan Heritage, Sizzla, Tanya Stephens, Gentleman, Luciano, Maxi Priest, and more.

J. Cole’s new album, “The Fall-Off” is out now.

PRESS RELEASE: JahZ I Lee Looks Forward To A Shining Career

Ever since he was very young, Munhaire Lee had dreams of becoming a recording artiste. At the launch of his career, the rising star has released two songs, “Love Yours Refix” (Beauty in the Struggle) by J. Cole featuring himself and “Low Me Mek Me Live”. He adopted the moniker JahZ I Lee, a name that reflects his Rastafarian roots, and gives an insight into his style of music. Jah Z I see himself as an artiste painting a picture with his realistic words of wisdom.

“Music is the most viable medium to convey a message. Having an infinite imagination one begins to compose record and perform. If something is repeated, it then becomes a routine, if that routine is loved then it also becomes a passion” expressed JahZ I. Both songs were produced by Michael “Jagga” Barracks, Askelle and Brown Chopz from the Vision House Family, and Mark Cine Enigma. So far, JahZ I has been receiving tremendous feedback from both songs as they are regarded and greatly applauded for their deeply resonating and truly reflective themes.

“My response thus far has exceeded my expectations, there’s always that one fan that will come up to me and tell me how much they enjoy listening to my music. It is a joy to hear how my audience has taken to my music, and the great thing is I aim to offer difference in my approach. Some time ago my PR Manager, Susan Smith of Powerhouse Global Media, said to me that the world needs my talent and originality and those are words that have stayed with me.”

The upcoming sensation looks forward to a shining career in music and is currently busy in the studio cooking up a storm.

Directed by Maxim Bohichik, we see scenes where Cole visited the Bob Marley Museum, hanging out at Strawberry Hill, and hiking in the Blue Mountains. Featuring some new Bally gear, we also hear J Cole’s Note To Self” and “Love Yourz“. Pretty dope video, and even better that it was shot here.
