First off, let us wish you a Happy New Year! 2020 may have been terrible for many of us, but it’s a blessing to see a brand new year filled with possibilities. Make great things happen in 2021.

Keeping up with the brand, we start the year off with brand new content! Today, we’re happy to premiere Producer/Recording Artist Kris Karz’s official visualizer for his 2020 track, “HEARTBREAK“! Directed by Karz (Dylan Golden handled the editing) and featuring the lovely Sara Jade, Kris finds himself in a bit of a relationship problem. For some, there can be trust issues, miscommunication, and even insecurity. While Kris may be feeling the stress from some of the unnecessary arguments, he ensures his lady that he’s all about her, and she should stop stressing over nothing and hurting herself in the process.

Kris Karz has been pretty busy behind the scenes for most of 2020, but with a new project on the way, he is gearing up to keep the Internet occupied with some of his new creations through his Kngly Studios imprint. OLDIES SUNDAY: Dirtsman – Hot This Year (1991)

With 2020 coming to a close, we can truly say that this was a crazy year. While we don’t know what the future holds, we just have to move forward with a positive mindset. With that in mind, today’s final Oldies Sunday selection for 2020 comes from the late Deejay, Dirtsman with his 1991 hit, “Hot This Year“.

Produced by the late Bobby Digital for Digital B Records on the Drum Song/Hot This Year Riddim (there is another version that’s produced by Phillip Smart that shares similar production), Dirtsman exudes confidence on this one as he realizes his growing popularity, and his prowess as an artist. From annihilating his opponents in lyrical showdowns to being ready with the lyrics, Dirtsman was on the verge of being even greater. Sadly, he passed away on December 21, 1993 at the age of 27. “Hot This Year” was featured on the late Deejay’s album, “Acid“. While “Hot This Year” is one of his biggest songs, we dedicate it to those who see 2021 as year for growth, positive changes, building back broken bonds, and a lot more success. Keep your head up!

The Eastsyde Boss Skillibeng has been trending pretty much all of 2020. With tracks that continue to stay in rotation and a recent signing to Sony/ATV in a publishing deal, he’s about to see a lot more different currencies in his bank account. This week he released a much anticipated “The Prodigy Skilltape“. Though the 35 track project has received mixed reviews, at least fans of the artist have plenty music to absorb. One of the tracks that got people’s attention however is the Tommy Lee Sparta featured, “Bin Laden“.

Like the late leader of al-Qaeda, Skillibeng and Tommy Lee Sparta unleash weapons of mass destruction on the Claims Records produced beat as they spew badman lyrics, and show off a different flow on this one. Both aren’t strangers to the bad man tunes, so you know it’s something deadly when the E-Syde and Sparta connect. One of the standout tracks on the project, this can be seen as a seasoned veteran and the rookie of the year creating something special. Skillibeng’s “The Prodigy Skilltape” is available everywhere.

Jamaica hosts their share of street dances, office parties, and concerts every December, and they all turn out to be successful. Today, despite Covid 19 restrictions, we’d like to make you rock from wherever you are with the Oldies Sunday selection, Uglyman’s “Christmas Boogie“!

Produced by Harry “Big J” Johnson in 1985 for the 10 Roosevelt Ave label on the “Three Blind Mice Riddim“, Uglyman comes through “fi nice up di session” with his commanding, and ability to effortlessly ride the Riddim. This one is for the lovers of 80s Dancehall, those who miss the grinding in the corner of the dance while sipping on a Guinness or Dragon Stout, and for those who looked forward to enjoying themselves to the fullest on Christmas Eve a.k.a. “Grand Market Night“. This song is for you and yours, enjoy it wherever you are safely. Covid is still present, please stay protected. This marks our last entry in Christmas songs for December. When you think about it, we are truly blessed everyday. Life has its share of ups and downs, but to live to see and learn from them is something to give thanks for. For Manchester based Natural Bond Entertainment and Recording Artiste Bugle, life is the greatest thing, and you can hear about it and more on the upcoming single, “Life Still Well”.

Produced by Natural Bond Entertainment, Bugle handles the vocals as he further expounds why life is still the greatest despite what’s going on around him. With the world being rocked with the Covid 19 pandemic among other things this year, Bugle looks to keep the listener in a conscious state of mind, make us be aware that once you have life, you have everything, and remind us that God is still in control and you don’t have a need for unnecessary things that provide a false sense of security. With a longstanding career filled with timeless music, Bugle ensures that “Life Still Well” will provide an ample amount of motivation, and be a mainstay in many playlists and music collections worldwide.

Natural Bond Entertainment continues to release great music in 2020, and 2021 will find them dominating in the music scene even more and connecting with great artistes. With “Porus Riddim” and “Gold Leaf Riddim” being in discussions as contenders for the year’s best compilations, the Manchester based label helped to give upcoming and established artists a steady amount of buzz, and provided unique sounds that rocked the airwaves, streets, and speakers globally. 2020 saw many artists stepping out of their comfort zone, or even making their debut. Overall, many of them provided great music for us to enjoy. Justice The Artiste tries to find a balance between making music that he loves, and keeping his Christian faith intact. Representing the new crop of Jamaican Christian acts who step away from the norm, we get to hear his new project, the “We Want Justice!” EP.

Featuring 4 tracks and a guest appearance by regular collaborator Kyxgston, Justice The Artiste gives listeners a dose of Christian Hip Hop with lyrics filled with motivation, spirituality, positivity, a little social commentary, and all around good vibes. Backed by some great production that borrows from Trap, Pop, and Dancehall influences, WWJ promises to be an entertaining listen, nothing like you’ve heard before, and will have you wanting to hear more.
