Coming through with a highly anticipated effort is the duo of Protoje and Chronixx. Titled “Who Knows” and produced by Winta James, we hear them speaking about poverty, spreading love to everyone whether good or bad, acknowledging Jah’s works and being conscious over a really good production. NEW VIDEO: @OnstageTV Interviews @Protoje

On tonight’s episode of Onstage, Winford Williams had a chat with Reggae artist Protoje. Here he spoke about his recent tours overseas and the effects on the fans, calling out the government on not fully supporting the music culture of Jamaica, the growth of Reggae music worldwide, why he chose a Reggae career, Edna Manley School of the Visual and Performing Arts and his band IndiggNation. Mixtape Movements: @Protoje – Music From My Heart (Presented by @IAmYaadCore)

In celebration of Protoje’s birthday, he teamed up with Yaadcore to release his “Music From My Heart” mixtape. Featuring 27 tracks which are a combination of music from his “8 Year Affair” along with exclusive tracks, this promises to be a great fix for the Protoje fan and a great start for the new listener. Features on this mixtape include Chronixx, Jah9, Kabaka Pyramid, and the legendary Sizzla. Mixtape Movements: @LornavBennett – This Is Lorna (Mixed By @IamYaadcore)

In celebration of Reggae singer (and Protoje’s mom) Lorna Bennett’s birthday, she released the “mixtape” version of her debut album. Titled “This Is Lorna” and mixed by Rory Yaadcore, this album included her single “Breakfast In Bed” which made her the first female artist to top the Jamaica singles chart for five consecutive weeks. For many who are familiar with her work can reminisce on her hits and new listeners can be educated (and see who Protoje got his talent from). Wonderful listen from a great artist.
