Less than a week away, #PayAttention patrons should expect a fully revamped show kick-started by a complete change of venue. Often times big changes like this can mean detrimental losses, however, the show subtly made their maneuvers and are once again back at it hosting Kingston’s premier Hip-Hop event. The only way forward is up, in my humble opinion.

Q: I’d call you the technical audio director of #PayAttention; a long-standing organizer of the show. Briefly update me about the progression #PayAttention has been going through lately.

A: Lately, #PayAttention has been going through a lot; we recently decided to change venues. The next staging of #PayAttention on March 28^th will be held at our new venue Club Eutopia in New Kingston. We decided to try out a different vibe, open our doors to performers outside of Kingston that we have always wanted to feature. Look out for continued progress from #PayAttention as we continue to achieve goals and shatter perceptions.

But when we sound that gong & set charges to that stage, you’re going to seriously wish that you hadn’t waited to get involved. NEW MUSIC: @GullyCash – Kingston 20 Freestyle

Repping where he’s from today is Rapper Gully Cash with a new freestyle. Over the Wu Tang Clan’s “Ice Cream” beat comes “Kingston 20“. Here he gave an idea of his day to day life, rules he abides by in his neighbourhood, showing respect to his crew and the “Gs” while effortlessly flowing over the old school production. Gully Cash has been staying busy since his last performance at Pay Attention and he may have another full project in the works. Stay tuned. NEW VIDEO: @SoulOnlineNet x JaneDoeSmith – Wet (Remix)

Popping Champagne, smoking Hookah, and partying the night away are the themes in this music video from Canada based producer SOUL a.k.a. DJ BLKLUOS and Rapper Jane Doe Smith. Titled “Wet (Remix)” and directed by Zac Facts, we see scenes of women enjoying liquor, smoking Hookah and Marijuana. We also see a lighted candle dripping wax, a glass being filled with water and honey which probably plays into the title of the song. The track is instrumental based where Jane Doe Smith handles the chorus and chants “Make Me Wet“. Great production, cool visual because let’s be honest, who doesn’t like seeing hot girls enjoying themselves?
