NEW VIDEO: @OnstageTV Interviews @AgentSasco

Posted on August 23, 2014 by swadedavillain

With a few years cemented in his musical career, Agent Sasco has managed to keep himself and his music consistent. With a potent flow and lyrics that command respect, he has touched on serious issues and has also managed to keep his audience moving. Tonight on Onstage he had a chat with Winford Williams to discuss his career and more. He spoke about his recent performances at Reggae Sumfest and Dream Weekend, exercising and developing his career, his work on Kanye West’s “Yeezus” album and how it came about, his new project and going back to the fundamentals of Dancehall, not following certain trends, remaining true to himself and more. He also premiered the music video for “Settle and Cease“. Sasco has been one of the artists whose career I’ve respected over the years and to me he can do no wrong. After a slight delay, Rapper/Producer King Biggs finally releases his “XXII” project. Comprising of 11 tracks, Biggs drops lyrics about hustling in Jamaica, girls of the MTV generation, a lil history course and of course being nice with his rapping and production skills. Featuring members of Sons Of Liberty and collaborations with The Defenders, this Art Project is sure to keep you well entertained. Big up all the schools shouted out in this project as well. Mixtape Movements: @LionTwin_ Presents: @KabakaPyramid Mixtape

Posted on August 16, 2014 by swadedavillain

Accurate! Today’s mixtape comes from the collaboration of Trinidad’s Lion Twin and Jamaica’s own Kabaka Pyramid. Titled the “Kabaka Mixtape“, this is a compilation of strictly Kabaka Pyramid singles and dub plates. Fans of the Bebble Rocker will add this to their collection and I like that this has a live feel to it. If you’re able to catch Kabaka on his European tour, play this before you hit the concerts to get extra pumped up. Check out the mix below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW MUSIC: @IamTheKartel – Cya Test We (RAW)

Posted on August 14, 2014 by swadedavillain

Fresh from the vault is another Vybz Kartel creation. Titled “Cya Test We” and produced by Haad Rokk Muzik on the “Phase One Riddim“, Kartel makes it known that he and the Gaza Empire are not the ones to test and will not handle his matters with fists. He also makes sure to be protected at all times and is ready for anything. I like the singjay approach he takes on this track. Stay tuned for more Kartel singles this year as there seems to be a lot more in the woodwork. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
