Today’s new video comes from Lincoln 3Dot. Titled “Dying To Live” and directed by Dante Hillmedo, Lincoln is given the black and white treatment and we hear him speak about his lyrics, working hard and living his life,seeing people go certain routes to gain fame, providing for his son and leaving a legacy for him to carry on, and the meaning of “3Dot“. We also see clips of people in riots and facing oppression. Great song here and the video is very clean as we see Lincoln is shown addressing his fans and detractors. Dropping some conscious music today is the combination of Kabaka Pyramid and I-Wayne. Titled “Versatile” and produced by Rokwon Productions on the Rokwon Drop Riddim, we hear the artists speak on the evil that many do, promoting righteousness, fighting the corrupt, going against artists who promote the wrong things, Tessanne Chin and her getting recognition, and advising the youths to be versatile as to avoid falling into the traps of Babylon and Rome. A great effort here as I’ve been anticipating a collaboration between the two. It could a long shot but I’d love to hear a EP from the two or at least more tracks from them this year. It’s all about the money today as Rapper KDon lets us know he wants it all. Hopping on Traverse (a.k.a. Bruce) and Lady Livi’s “Bill“, KDon expresses how he wants the type of money that keeps on growing in all currencies, and being able to afford all the luxuries and enjoy life to the fullest. Here Konshens spoke about his Konz876 shoe line and its progress so far, his collaboration with Sean Paul and performing it overseas including on the Arsenio Hall Show, and signing Masicka to his Subkonshus label and future projects. Masicka also reintroduced himself to the world, connecting with Konshens, creating a buzz lately with new music, wanting to be a bigger force in Dancehall music, and upcoming performances and projects.
