Dancehall Artist Sol Weatherman Goes Viral, Promotes “Handcart”

With several controversies surrounding Dancehall music videos, upcoming Dancehall Artist Sol Weatherman is now victim to a candid video gone viral. The video shows the Artist singing his recent single, “Handcart”, with what appears to be an M-16 Rifle in hand. More recently, another video surfaced with the Artist riding a donkey at the popular Street Dance “Wappingz Thursday”.

“Handcart” was produced by Krayv and Jay Crazie Records on the “Car Tire Riddim”, and is described by Sol Weatherman as a “Hustler’s Anthem”. “The video was simply me chilling in my community and during that someone recorded the video and posted it online. I don’t encourage violence, “Handcart” is a song for the Hustlers and hard working people, it is not a violent song”. When asked about the riding on the Donkey, Sol
added, “I believe in promoting my single to the fullest so the video was just another way to market the single for me”.

“Handcart” has been garnering much attention from the streets since its release. Sol added, “In many of the Street Dances you can witness girls pushing Handcarts and dancing. People all over the world love the gimmicks that come with the song, and I am grateful for that”. Sol Weatherman hails from Cockburn Gardens in Kingston, and is known for the singles, “Weatherman”, “Feel So Good”, and “Whine” to name a few. Rapper @MoulaUE Makes His Return With The “All U Go Get Until…” EP!

Montego Bay based Rapper MoulaUE has been staying busy these past few months. Since the release of his 2016 effort, “Know My Intentions“, he has made appearances on various projects with a verse or few. Today, the “Mobay Kingpin” makes his return with a new project titled “All U Go Get Until…” to shake up a few playlists. With 5 tracks in, and featuring Production from Thomas Craiger, JuloOnTheTrack, 1694, Dre Minor and Ty Rose, Moula’s ready to make you a believer that Hip Hop is very much alive in the 2nd City. With contributions from his KMT brethren Karma Crew and Daley, Rapper Yung Asura and Recording Artist Minx, this is something to roll up one with and hold a vibe. Gather ’round, hold someone’s hand or clasp your hands and close your eyes, we’re in the presence of the Lord! While the time can be a lil crazy, British Producer Tieks teamed up with legendary Recording Artist Chaka Khan and Jamaica’s “Unruly Boss” Popcaan for a new song called, “Say A Prayer“! With a dash of Electronic Dance Music, some Dancehall elements from Popcaan, and a whole lot of Soul from Chaka Khan, this song will sure to uplift you, and give God the glory! A huge look for Popcaan here as he goes up the ladder with more International collaborations up his sleeve. A song with Chaka Khan is a dream for many. and we can’t be any more proud of Poppy. @PopcaanMusic Continues His Intl. Run On @KylaOfficial’s “You Ain’t Mine”!

Many of you may not be readily familiar with UK House Singer Kyla, but you do know some of her music. Her more recognized single is the 2008 hit, “Do You Mind (Crazy Cousinz)” which was sampled for Rapper Drake’s hit “One Dance“. Now back on the scene with new music, she’s putting in work! Drawing for some Island vibes, she called up the “Unruly Boss” Popcaan for “You Ain’t Mine“. Produced by Production duo Ill Blu, they provide a beat that will get you rocking as Kyla confronts Poppy about sharing him with another woman. This is not their first collaboration together as they appeared on the Naughty Boy track, “Should’ve Been Me” last year.  Popcaan has been busy on the International scene thanks to his collaborations with Artists like Gorillaz (Saturn Barz), and Ivy Layne (One You Love), let’s see what’s next for him for the rest of the year. Upcoming Producer Signature Takes You On “The Journey” With Debut Beat Tape!

There are Producers who can craft Riddims on the fly, there are Producers who can provide the Soundtrack to your thoughts and lyrics, and there are those who can tell a story. UK based Signature is an upcoming Producer who has a story to tell, and he does so on his debut Beat Tape! Titled “The Journey“, this 10 track project is a result of taking a hiatus from the online world to further develop his skills. Featuring various clips where he’s being Interviewed, he speaks on his aspirations, his inspirations, and the process behind the making of his Tape. The project also features collaborations with Producers SOS Dynamikz, Universal ZincFence, SkyRas, and Kvdence who all bring together their sounds to create that “Audio Dope“! Romell and Xandire however, contribute to the journey with Interludes and providing encouragement. If you’re an Artist looking for a new sound, give Signature a call (Whatsapp or Facetime perhaps?).
