Jamaican Producer @Jahbariii Flexes With Recreating Popular Beats & More!

Jamaica’s music culture boasts with a great abundance of talent. No matter the field, Creatives cover every sector and have no problem showcasing their work. While showcasing talented folks is nothing new on 13th Street Promotions, today we’d like to highlight a Jamaican Producer who steadily hones his craft. Though he hails from Portmore, Jahbariii currently resides in the US and blends Jamaican influences in his sound along with Hip Hop. What caught our attention, was his knack for recreating popular beats and coming up with some unique productions from sometimes odd places. Below are some of his recent recreations, and a few unique beats. Feel free to check out his Website if you want to work with him. Don’t forget to share our Articles with a friend, and show us some love on Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.

OLDIES SUNDAY: A.J. Brown – All Fall Down (1987)

It’s Sunday, and there’s something we’ve missed, and that is “Oldies Sunday“! Today’s selection comes from the legendary A.J. Brown a.k.a. “The Voice Of Jamaica“! Going back to the year 1987, we check out “All Fall Down“. Produced by Peter Ashbourne and released by Busy Bee Records, A.J. gave listeners a funky number in the 2nd half of the 80’s. In the song, A.J. lets a young lady know that despite being involved with other peoples and doing all sort of activities, he knows the way to her heart every time. While she can live in a make believe world, she lets down her guard when he’s around. The song was included in A.J.’s 1988 album, “Rhyme Or Reason“.

“All Fall Down” became one of A.J.’s hits, and he quickly became an Artist to watch. The single became so popular that it was featured on the soundtracks to “The Howling Pt. 3” and “The Fourth Protocol” movies. Since then, A.J. went on to deliver more hits, collaborated/performed with some of the biggest artists out there, lent his voice to various commercials and campaigns, and was also a Judge on Digicel’s Rising Stars competition. He is also the Lead Vocalist for Reggae Band Third World replacing the late William “Bunny Rugs” Clarke.

.@LupeFiasco Tries Patois, & Teams Up With Damian Marley On New Album, “DROGAS WAVE”

If you’re a Hip Hop head, then you’re familiar with Chicago Rapper Lupe Fiasco. He has collaborated with the likes of Kanye West and Jay Z, and gave us hits like “Superstar“, “Kick, Push“, and “The Show Goes On“. Recently, he released his 7th studio album, “DROGAS WAVE” with enough bars to keep fans happy till the next project. What made this project more interesting, is Lupe tapping into some Jamaican influences here. On “Gold vs the Right Things to do“, he utilizes patois throughout, and although it may make some of us cringe, he drops some serious lines in this one to make up for it (he did a better job than these Actors in this article). On “Kingdom” he teams up with another potent lyricist, Damian “Junior Gong” Marley as they unleash more consciousness into the world. For those familiar with Lupe, this project is a great listen and has garnered positive reviews so far. If you’re new here and into lyrics, you can’t go wrong with Lupe. .@WhoIsKaylan Brings The Melodies On “The Crown”

Ready for more music? Well, you’re gonna love this one. We’ve featured Recording Artist Kaylan Arnold before as she was a part of the Kris Karz & Kngly Studios produced “Kngly Live, but since then she has been thrilling folks with her covers and a couple features. Today we get her first single as the First Lady of DadaSon Entertainment titled, “The Crown“! Produced by Jason “JVibe” Farmer and featuring a few samples including Barrington Levy’sMurderer” and vocals from Gramps Morgan, Kaylan gives us the melodies that many of us have been accustomed to. For those new here, you’ll be welcomed to some lovely sounds from the young Songstress, and you’ll have no choice but to put on some dance moves during. They can try to stop you, but they can’t take the Crown! Check out the track below, and share with a friend. Show us some love on Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.

We Rock To Some Of @ChiChingChingJa’s Hits In Our “One Knock” Playlist!

Start up the Chainsaw…CHI CHING CHINGGGG…!

Recently we caught Dancehall Artist Chi Ching Ching on Nightly Fix’s “The Fix” Podcast. Throughout the episode, we were reminded on how far Ching is coming from in his career. With him celebrating his Birthday and the release of his debut album “Turning Tables” recently, we were inspired to compile a playlist featuring some of his hits. The “TallaDanDem” Boss has come a long way from carrying the red carpet literally everywhere, and rocking the zip earrings.
