OLDIES SUNDAY (Christmas): Uglyman – Christmas Boogie (1985)

For the Christmas holiday season, one thing that many look forward to other than the gifts and food, is the party. Jamaica hosts their share of street dances, office parties, and concerts every December, and they all turn out to be successful. Today, despite Covid 19 restrictions, we’d like to make you rock from wherever you are with the Oldies Sunday selection, Uglyman’sChristmas Boogie“!

Produced by Harry “Big J” Johnson in 1985 for the 10 Roosevelt Ave label on the “Three Blind Mice Riddim“, Uglyman comes through “fi nice up di session” with his commanding, and ability to effortlessly ride the Riddim. This one is for the lovers of 80s Dancehall, those who miss the grinding in the corner of the dance while sipping on a Guinness or Dragon Stout, and for those who looked forward to enjoying themselves to the fullest on Christmas Eve a.k.a. “Grand Market Night“. This song is for you and yours, enjoy it wherever you are safely. Covid is still present, please stay protected. This marks our last entry in Christmas songs for December. We wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and we’ll see you here soon for another Oldies Sunday selection.

Produced by Natural Bond Entertainment, Bugle handles the vocals as he further expounds why life is still the greatest despite what’s going on around him. With the world being rocked with the Covid 19 pandemic among other things this year, Bugle looks to keep the listener in a conscious state of mind, make us be aware that once you have life, you have everything, and remind us that God is still in control and you don’t have a need for unnecessary things that provide a false sense of security. .@JayHeartMusiq Makes Big Moves With Debut EP, “Timeline”!

Canada based Singer Jay Heart has been steadily climbing to become a prominent name in the new generation of Caribbean talent. With a few singles to his name, he felt it was time to make some big moves in his career. One of those is putting out his first project in the form of an EP called, “Timeline“.

Armed with 5 tracks, Jay Heart believes the release was a result of good timing. Having started on the EP in 2019, the vibes were just not right to make the project official, and he was having some personal challenges. Quarantining as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic prompted him to step up the work ethic, and after putting together nearly 30 songs, he settled on 5 for the EP. With love and relationships of all sorts being the main topics on the project, Jay Heart utilized familiar references for the songs, and delivered them in ways that will have the listener’s full attention over and over. With strong production from Noah Hamilton and Hunter Madden, “Timeline” didn’t go wrong with the sounds to accompany Jay’s carefully crafted lyrics. “Timeline” marks the start of more great things to come from the artist, and 2021 may find him being on the radar of some big names.
