Recording Artist HeartBreakQuotey was a young legend in Toronto, Canada. For those who knew him, he was always making things happen, and lit up the scene. An artist who stayed on the grind over the years, he gave listeners a style that wasn’t like anyone else’s. Sadly, he passed away recently, and to keep his name alive, his brother and Producer DJ Blkluos released the project called, “2 Fly 2 Be Broke“.

Featuring 12 tracks, listeners will get a chance to learn what goes on in the mind of HBQ. With production from DJ Blkluos, Ryan Whiskey, and JaymeFromThe9, we get a dose of throwback Hip Hop, Trap, and R&B sounds that do a great job of backing up HBQ’s lyrics. The mixtape also has guest appearances from DopeFa$e, Enaledge, 73V1NN, Jane Doe Smith, and Joe Law who made sure it was extra fire. While death may affect us in various ways, it’s always best to cherish to good times of the ones you’ve lost. For new and old fans of HeartBreakQuotey, we ask you like him live on through the music. R.I.P. HBQ 🙏🏽

Since April 22, we started highlighting some talented people in our new “13th Street Quarantine Sessions” series. Tonight, we’re at episode 10! We look forward to more artists, and your support for future episodes. Montego Bay/Canada based Recording Artist Jay Heart takes over with his performance of his latest single, “Cyah Copy“! Released through RoRo Jammings Productions, Jay Heart gets assistance from Bassist Carson White as he takes centerstage in the “purple room”. His “Cyah Copy” single has been doing well since its release, and he looks to make even more noise this year!

US/Montego Bay based Label RoRo Jammings Productions has enjoyed a successful 2019. With releases from Recording Artist DeeClef and Beatboxer/Producer Mixing Lab making noise in the music scene, RoRo Jammings looks to produce more talent and make a difference. On their first official release for 2020, the Label enlists Canadian based Recording Artist Jay Heart for the single, “Cyah Copy”.

Armed with smooth vocals and a commanding delivery over some melodic production, Jay Heart dedicates his new single to that special lady who is one of kind, and can never be duplicated. Jay Heart hopes to see the single get a lot of spins when it’s released, and it quickly becomes a fan favourite. Ros-Ann Cann, founder of RoRo Jammings, is excited about the single’s release, and looks forward to it making waves worldwide as she works to make her label even bigger. 

A relatively new Artist on the scene, Jay Heart is a Multi-Instrumentalist, Singer/Songwriter, and Producer who looks to make a name for himself in various parts of the world. “Cyah Copy” is Jay Heart’s 2nd official release as his debut single, “Friendzoned”, was released in February. His affiliation with RoRo Jammings Productions was an easy move to make, and together they look to reap the benefits of their hard work.

RoRo Jammings Productions and Jay Heart’s “Cyah Copy” single will be released on Friday April 3rd with preorders starting on Friday March 27 (Click here to preorder). They have been touring together this year, but Daniel Caesar and Koffee finally made a song together! While “Cyanide” has been making its rounds since its release, Koffee now adds her flair to the remix! Produced by Matthew Burnett and Jordan Evans, it’s the Jamaica/Canada link up that you need! With Kardinal Offishall and River Tiber’s original contribution intact, the whole track feels like a chill Sunday afternoon after having that good ole Jamaican dinner that consists of Rice and Peas, Brown Stew Chicken, and a glass of fresh fruit juice.

Daniel Caesar continues his rounds with material from his latest project, “Case Study 01“, and shows off his Jamaican influences in everything he does. Koffee on the other hand, continues her amazing run by performing at various events, and giving people that good music. We look forward to more collabs from them. Now that the Summer is over, many of us are still left with not much to do in the days. If you’re like Recording Artists Collapsy and King Cruff and their new song however, you’ll always find “Sumn To Do“! With Production by Smoothe Music, Collapsy describes the song as one with “a super good vibe“! If you’re having a bit of a down time, Collapsy and King Cruff ensure that it will perk you up and have you stuck in a great mood all day. This one is also for the smokers who look to wake and bake, or just need the right sound to accompany their time with the herb. Make sure you have a lot of fun with this one. It’s a Canada/Jamaica link up as Recording Artist Melxdie teams up with the “Gully Gad” Mavado on “Girls R Better“! With the track produced by Christopher Birch, Thomas Tasker, and Eb Reinbergs, it’s a mix of that  “Gullyside” sound that you’re used to along with Melxdie’s poppy delivery that’s an enjoyable listen. On the track, Melxdie makes the statement that girls are a better company to keep, and will aid and motivate you, while Mavado agrees and shows love to his #1 girl who stays loyal to him.

The video that accompanies “Girls R Better“, is a Damian Fyffe directed visual that finds Mavado being targeted by the Police thanks to a snitch, but Melxdie holds it down for him.
