The 2nd place winner of the 2009 Heineken Green Synergy Competition and 1st place winner of the 2012 King Of Spin series, he has been rocking many events across Jamaica, and was even affiliated with the Skunk Nation Car Club.He gets back on the grind today as he returns with “The Takeover” Mixtape!

Happy Sunday everyone! With Christmas popping up in a couple weeks, we head over to the Island of St. Lucia for a Christmas classic. Our selection today comes from the late Calypso legend, the Mighty Pélay ‘s track, “No More Gift For Christmas“! This was released by the WIRL label in 1977, and was featured on the Christmas album, “Merry Christmas Our Way From Mighty Pelay“. While Christmas is synonymous with gift giving, Pélay has a few regrets on this song as he has made the claim to never give gifts nor even ask for any during the season. From purchasing a suit for someone who never wore it, to giving a bed to a girlfriend, only for her to disrespect him in return, to a lot more. Don’t be an Ebenezer Scrooge this Christmas, just be mindful who you gift.

After giving us the track a few weeks ago, Daniel Caesar took the trip to Jamaica for the “Cyanide (Remix)” video featuring Koffee! Directed by Keavan Yazdani and Sean Brown for theENDS, the video features a cameo from Comedian Brothers Jermaine and Trevaunn Richards a.k.a. 4 Y’all Ent. With scenes shot at Hellshire Beach and at the Caymanas Park Track, the duo give us that remix we’ve been enjoying so much as we follow the journey of their Race Horse “Cyanide” getting groomed, taking the trek to the Race Track, and racing his way to victory much to the delight of Koffee and Daniel. Will “Cyanide” win it all? You’d have to watch it to find out.
