NEW MUSIC: @HardDayzSoReal – Selah x Feelz Good

It’s been a while since we’ve heard some music from Blu Rok’s Hard Dayz. Today we present to you not one, but two tracks from the “Greenz Yaadi“. In “Feelz Good“, we hear Dayz going into Dancehall/R&B mode by reaching out to the ladies over a groovy SOS Dynamikz Production. On “Selah“, Dayz brings it back to Hip Hop and goes in on his rise in the Rap game and warns his peers that he’s taking over everything over SOS Dynamikz’s dark Production. It looks like Dayz needed the vacation as he also makes us aware of his “Greenz Yaadi (Reinvented)” Project. Chip Off The Old Block: Meet The New Kids Of Dancehall x Reggae (Pt. 2)

First they started out as the youth of the Dancehall/Reggae culture, now they’re parents with growing kids. It isn’t unusual for the child of an Entertainer to follow in their parent’s footsteps one way or the other as at times they bring a modern take on their parent’s creations, or create their own lane. Some of the most famous off springs include Stephen, Ziggy, and Damian “Junior Gong” Marley (Sons of Bob Marley), Chino and Di Genius (Sons of Freddie McGregor), Junior Tucker (Son of Jimmy Tucker), Morgan Heritage (Children of Denroy Morgan), Tarrus Riley (Son of Jimmy Riley), Queen Ifrica (Daughter of Derrick Morgan), Protoje (Son of Lorna Bennett), Chronixx (Son of Chronicle) and many more. In part 2 of a few part series, I feature more of the new set of kids on the scene whose parents have covered much ground in their respective careers.

NEW VIDEO: @Sadiki_iLive x @RealJuniorReid – My Story

We don’t always know a person’s past or what they’re going through, but there comes a time where they share it all in their own way. Today, US Based Hip Hop/Reggae Artist Sadiki-I shares his life on “My Story“. Directed by Birhan Tonge of Royal Ras Productions and shot in Jamaica and New York, this features Junior Reid and a cameo appearance by popular US Media Personality Angela Yee. Here Sadiki spoke on his Montserrat heritage, being raised in Boston, being a part of the street life, his run ins with the law, and his spiritual journey as a Rastafarian and his journey to Africa. When it comes to the herbs, it’s all about the right specimen and today Chronixx and Jahkime speak on it in their visual for “Perfect Tree“. Directed by AllEyesOnIt, we get a little lecture from the “Odd Ras” then Jahkime joins him later to kick off lyrics over an old school Hip Hop production (Blackstar x Common’s “Respiration”). The Wutang Clan is for the children, while Five Steez, Inztinkz, Nomad Carlos, and The Sickest Drama who make up “The Council” are for the Hip Hop heads. Today 3/4 of the group hop on the Clan’s “Triumph” Instrumental for a quick freestyle. Here they shed light on fake Rappers, show how sharp they are when it comes to the bars, and how their upcoming projects (Five Steez – Momentum Vol. 3 and The Council’s “Nothing Else Matters“) will separate them from the common folk and will be what you need to hear. Mixtape Movements: @CillAwesumore – Tale Of The Ox

Jamaican Rapper Cill Awesumore from the Blu Rok crew considers himself the eccentric one. Today, while you may be feeling for Oxtail for lunch, Cill delivers the “Tale Of The Ox” project. This features 7 tracks with titles you’d see more in a Food Magazine rather than a track listing (except tracks 2 and 7). With preparations from Sky Ras, SOS Dynamikz, and Kris Beatz, and Eon Smit, Bruce and Vindon delivering platters, this might be a delectable meal for all who are willing to consume.
