Sometimes in life, you have to just hold the faith and persevere through the all the roadblocks that fall at your path. In the end, all you have is yourself, and the Creator to guide you. Today, Recording Artist King Moses delivers a positive message with his new video, “Hold My Own“. Directed by Jon Cintron and shot in New York, Moses shares his life experiences where he had to be self sufficient. He also gives thanks to the Almighty for bringing him this far, and encourages more people to fend for self over the “Style Riddim” produced by WaveKing. We believe this one will motivate listeners as the days can be a struggle. While many have had bad experiences aligning themselves with others, sometimes it’s best to just go solo and avoid further conflict. What do you think of this? “GodFather, man a OG…“

Earlier this year, the Quartet of “Godfather of Grime” Wiley, Dancehall Icon Sean Paul, UK Bad Gyal Stefflon Don, and “The Black James Bond” Idris Elba released their collaborative single titled, “Boasty“. As they joined forces to give us a bassy track to keep us feeling swaggy, it was only right they followed up with a music video. Directed by Henry Scholfield, we get a dope performance of the track by the four Artists (except Wiley part was replaced by Child Actor, Brooklyn Appiah) in four different locations (they don’t meet up in the end though). While the track is steadily gaining steam, the video is a nice touch and will get you in the mood to be flashy. Check out the video below, and share with a friend. The 2019 Carnival season is officially on its way, and Dancehall artists are teaming up with Soca’s finest stars for various collaborations. It’s definitely a good look for the genres as it gives them more leverage to different markets, even after the seasons is done. Carnival is an International brand with different cities and countries around the world hosting their own. With more interest in the Caribbean culture over the years, it’s a pivotal moment for Dancehall and Soca to make a greater push for the International market with these collaborations. For those unfamiliar, the Jamaican love affair with Soca and Carnival dates back to the 1940s at the University of the West Indies (Mona Campus), and the collaborations over time are just great moments in this ever growing union. With their feel good vibes and ability to bring people together, the collaborations will continue. Today we’re featuring a few of the Dancehall x Soca crossovers that are currently making waves on the scene.

Today we feature Orti, a French Recording Artist, with the music video for his single “Breaking Bad“. Bringing some Dancehall “bad man” vibes and a lil influence from the hit TV Series (“Breaking Bad“), Orti can be seen making boss moves throughout the video as he oversees his operations. We love the bilingual delivery on this as well, and the production will definitely have you keeping it on repeat. This one is definitely a banger as Tano and Brooklyn Decent provided a lovely production here to accompany the Artists get close throughout the song. With Loggo Lionel handling directorial duties for the video, we see all the chemistry oozing onscreen. While 2018 found Tifa announcing her retirement from music, 2019 will see a delay in that as she continues to drop new music. One of her first offerings for the year is “Come Off A Me Name“! Produced by Vexxx Bad Records and FeddaWeight Productions, Tifa has a problem with those who keep her name in certain gossip and arguments. In her own style however, she kindly tells them to cease all name dropping a.k.a. “Come Offa Mi Name!“. She follows up the single with a video directed by FeddaWeight Films that finds her in colourful backgrounds and various costume changes. Be on the lookout for more T-I-F-A this year!
