Today’s entry comes from Bronx based rapper Hop Da Great. Titled, “In Too Deep“, this is his remake of the 1992 classic “Deep Cover” by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. In the video we see Hop and his crew chase down a bootlegger for selling unauthorized copies of his mixtape, “The Unusual Gift“. Short but cool video, haven’t seen a bootlegger themed rap video in a while, and Hop did well over the Deep Cover beat as it is a classic. If you didn’t know, Supreme Promotions and P. Diddy came together and hosted a Sound Clash a.k.a. DJ Battle in Kingston Jamaica on January 4. The Bad Boy Records founder even held a short performance alongside Beenie Man, Flippa Mafia, Kiprich and others. NEW VIDEO: @KendrickLamar – BackSeat Freestyle

Well this dropped unexpectedly. Kendrick Lamar made a video for the very popular ‘BackSeat Freestyle” track found on his debut album. Shot between Compton and Paris, France, Kendrick drops very dope lyrics over black and white imagery. Pretty cool video, I like how one of the skits managed to be visualized half way in the video as well. Sherane has a nice booty. The Funky Munky has held hostage by a fusion of Hip Hop and Reggae acts on December 15 and there was no possibility of a successful negotiaiton. MMMMMMMaybach Music! Magazeen of the Maybach Music Group wanted in on the holiday season and he got a spot. Titled “Cherry Christmas“, Maga not only wished all a Merry Christmas and a badmind free new year, but he wanted a Black Panamera too. Popping liqour bottles and everyone having a nice time are just a few things he deejays about, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. No Santas and Reindeers allowed though.
