With a career spanning over 30 years, Maxi Priest was one of acts who had a brilliant run with fusing Reggae Music with R&B. Tonight on a special edition of Onstage, Winford Williams had a chat with the artist. Here he spoke on his upbringing in the UK, his love for music and his influences, challenges he has faced growing up and during the start of his career, how his first hit came about and being the first British Reggae act to score a #1 in the US, stardom locally and internationally, and many more. Great interview here as we get to look at Maxi’s background and journey through his extensive career. He also premiered a new music video for his “Easy To Love” single. Such a great artist. First she stepped out in her “Tight up skirt“, now Samantha J’s representing for all the hot girls in her newest single. Titled “Hot Gyal Anthem” and produced by WashRoom Ent., we hear Samantha dropping lyrics about fashion, making a scene wherever she goes, driving the guys crazy, dusting off haters and announcing that a “Hot Gyal” is in the area. This sounds like a single that will climb the charts and have the ladies repeating the lyrics. Will it be a bigger single than “Tight Up Skirt“? Only time will tell. I’d love to interview her though. What do you think? Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Today’s new music comes from Denyque and the “World Boss” Vybz Kartel. Titled “Revenge” and produced by AdidJahiem Records, we hear Denyque letting Kartel know that she’s tired of his lies and deceit so she’s going to do her own thing in an act of revenge. Kartel on the other hand explains what happened between him and a few ladies and says she’s his “Today and Tomorrow” while the others mean nothing. A good effort from these two as they play the “Two can play that game” scenario. What goes around comes around. Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
